Ezekiel

Chapter 32

1 AND it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the twelfth month, on the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

2 Son of man, make a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him, You are like a lion among the nations and you are like a sea monster; you come forth in your rivers, and trouble the waters with your feet and foul their rivers.

3 Thus says the LORD God: I will therefore spread out my net over you with a multitude of many people; and they shall bring you up in my net.

4 Then I will cast you out upon the land; I will cast you forth upon the open field, and will cause all the fowls of the air to alight upon you and will fill the wild beasts of the whole earth with you.

5 And I will scatter your flesh upon the mountains, and fill the valleys with your dust;

6 I will also drench the land of your seers with your blood, and the mountains and the valleys shall be filled with your flesh.

7 And when I shall put the light out of you, I will cover the heavens and make the stars thereof dark; the sun shall be covered with clouds, and the moon shall not give her light.

8 All the luminaries which give light in heaven will I make dark over you, and set darkness upon the land, says the LORD God.

9 I will also vex the hearts of many people when I bring the news of your destruction among the nations, into the cities which you have not known.

10 Yea, I will make many peoples aghast at you, and their kings shall be terrified because of you, when I brandish my sword in their presence; and they shall tremble and be alarmed, every man for his own life, on the day of your fall.

11 For thus says the LORD God: The sword of Babylon shall come upon you.

12 By the sword of mighty men will I cause your might to fall, and with the sword of all the mighty men of the nations; and they shall spoil the strength of Egypt, and all its wealth shall be plundered.

13 I will also destroy its cattle from beside the great waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoof of cattle trouble them.

14 Then I will make their waters clear, and cause their rivers to run smooth like oil, says the LORD God.

15 When I have made the land of Egypt desolate, the land shall be destitute in its fullness; when I shall smite all its inhabitants, they shall know that I am the LORD.

16 This is the lamentation with which they shall lament her; the daughters of the nations shall lament over Egypt; and over all her wealth shall they lament, says the LORD God.

17 It came to pass in the eleventh year, in the fifteenth day of the month, that the LORD came to me, saying,

18 Son of man, make a lamentation over the army of Egypt, and cast down her people among the strong nations into the nether parts of the earth, with those who go down into the pit.

19 Come down from the sweet water, and go down to sleep with the uncircumcised.

20 They shall fall in the midst of those who are slain by the sword; they shall bring her to ruin, and all her strength.

21 The rulers of the nations shall speak to their young men out of the midst of Sheol; they shall go down, and the uncircumcised shall lie with those who are slain by the sword;

22 Assyria is there and all her people round about her grave; all of them are slain, fallen by the sword.

23 Those whose graves are set in the sides of the pit and her people are round about her grave; all of them are slain, fallen by the sword, because they caused destruction in the land of the living.

24 Elam is there and all her army round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who went down uncircumcised into the nether parts of the earth, because they caused destruction in the land of the living; and they have borne their shame with those that go down into the pit.

25 They have set her a bed among the slain in the midst of her army; the graves of all the uncircumcised are round about her grave, all slain by the sword; because they caused destruction in the land of the living; they have borne their shame with those that go down into the pit, and they lie among the slain.

26 Meshech is there, and Tubal, and all her host around about their graves; all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, because they caused destruction in the land of the living.

27 And they shall lie with the valiant men who are fallen with the uncircumcised, who are gone down into Sheol with their weapons of war; and they have laid their swords under their heads, and their iniquities are upon their bones, because they caused destruction with their might in the land of the living.

28 You also shall sleep among the uncircumcised and shall lie among the slain by the sword.

29 Edom is there, her kings and all her princes, who with their might were laid with those who were slain by the sword; they shall lie with the uncircumcised and with those who go down to the pit.

30 There are princes of the north, all of them and all the Zidonians, who are gone down with those that are slain by the sword, ashamed and fallen from their might; and they lie uncircumcised with those that are slain by the sword, and have borne their shame with those who go down to the pit.

31 Pharaoh shall see them and shall be comforted over all his army slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his army, says the LORD God.

32 For I have caused his destruction in the land of the living, and caused him to be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised with those that are slain by the sword, even Pharaoh, he and all his army, says the LORD God.

1 І сталося за дванадцятого року, дванадцятого місяця, третього дня місяця, було́ мені слово Господнє таке:

2 „Сину лю́дський, здійми пісню жало́бную на фараона, єгипетського царя, та й скажеш йому: Левчуко́ві з наро́дів подібний ти був, а тепер ти мов мо́рська потво́ра, — випри́скуєш воду по ріках своїх, і скаламу́чуєш воду ногами своїми, боло́тиш ти їхні річки́!

3 Отак Господь Бог промовляє: Але сітку Свою розтягну́ Я на тебе через збори числе́нних наро́дів, — і тебе Своїм не́водом ви́тягну!

4 І викину зра́зу на землю тебе, і кину тебе Я на поле широке, і над тобою спочи́не всяке птаство небесне, і тобою наси́чу звіри́ну всієї землі.

5 І дам твоє м'ясо на го́ри, а трупом твоїм Я долини напо́вню.

6 І землю, де пли́ваєш ти, аж до гір напою́ її кров'ю твоєю, тобою напо́вняться рі́чища.

7 А коли Я тебе погашу́, то небо закрию, а зо́рі його позате́мнюю, сонце — хмарою вкрию його, а місяць не буде світити свого світла.

8 Всі світи́ла, що світять на небі, — позате́мнюю їх над тобою, і дам темно́ту понад краєм твоїм, говорить Господь Бог!

9 І занепоко́ю Я серце числе́нних наро́дів, коли вість рознесу́ про руїну твою між наро́дами аж до країв, яких ти не знав.

10 І остовпі́ють числе́нні наро́ди з-за тебе, а їхні царі затремтя́ть через тебе в страху́, як буду маха́ти мечем Своїм Я перед їхнім обличчям, і тремтітиме кожен щохвилі за душу свою в дні упадку твого́.

11 Бо так Господь Бог промовляє: Меч царя вавилонського при́йде на тебе!

12 Мечами хоробрих Я порозкида́ю твоє многолю́дство. Усі вони — наси́льники наро́дів, і гордість Єгипту понищать вони, і все многолю́дство його буде ви́гублене.

13 І ви́гублю ввесь його скот при во́дах великих, і не буде вже їх каламу́тити лю́дська нога, і копи́то скотини не буде вже їх каламу́тити.

14 Тоді їхні води очи́щу, а їхні річки́ попрова́джу, неначе оливу, говорить Господь Бог.

15 Коли оберну́ Я єгипетський край на спусто́шення, і край опусто́шений буде від усього, що в нім, коли Я поб'ю́ всіх тих, що заме́шкують в ньому, то пізнають вони, що Я — то Госпо́дь!

16 Оце пісня жало́бна, і будуть жало́бно співати її, до́чки наро́дів будуть співати жало́бно її, про Єгипет та про все многолю́дство його будуть жало́бно співати її, говорить Господь Бог“.

17 І сталося за дванадцятого року, п'ятнадцятого дня місяця, було мені слово Господнє таке:

18 „Сину лю́дський, — жало́бно заголоси про многолю́дство Єгипту, і скинь його, його та дочок поту́жних наро́дів до підзе́много кра́ю із тими, хто сходить в могилу!

19 Від ко́го ти став приємні́ший? Зійди й поклади́сь з необрі́занцями!

20 Попа́дють серед пробитих мечем, — меч даний на те, із ним ляжуть його всі народи.

21 Будуть йому говорити сильніші з хоробрих з-посе́ред шео́лу із помічника́ми: Посхо́дили, полягали ці необрі́занці, побиті мечем:

22 Там Ашшур і всі збори його, навколо нього — гро́би його, всі побиті вони, від меча всі попа́дали,

23 що були його гро́би найглибше в могилі, і був його полк біля гро́бу його, — всі побиті вони, від меча всі попа́дали, що ши́рили жах по кра́ю живих.

24 Там Елам та ввесь на́товп його коло гро́бу його, — всі побиті вони, від меча всі попа́дали, що зійшли необрі́занцями до підзе́много кра́ю, що ши́рили жах свій по кра́ю живих, і поне́сли ганьбу свою з тими, хто схо́дить в могилу.

25 Дали́ йому ложе посеред побитих зо всім многолю́дством його, гро́би його коло нього, всі вони необрі́занці, побиті мечем, бо ши́рили жах свій по кра́ю живих і поне́сли ганьбу свою з тими, хто сходить в могилу, посеред побитих покла́дений він.

26 Там Мешех, Тувал та все многолю́дство його, гро́би його коло нього, всі вони необрі́занці, побиті мечем, бо ши́рили жах свій по краю живих.

27 І не бу́дуть лежати із ли́царями, що попа́дали із необрі́занців, що зійшли до шео́лу з військо́вим знаря́ддям своїм, і поклали свої мечі під свої го́лови, і їхня провина — на їхніх костя́х, бо жах перед ли́царями був у краї живих,

28 а ти розпоро́шений між необрі́занцями, і поляжеш із тими, хто побитий мечем.

29 Там Едо́м, і царі його, і князі всі його́, що при всій своїй силі були зложені з побитими мечами, — вони ляжуть з необрі́занцями та з тими, хто сходить в могилу

30 Там півні́чні князі́, всі вони й всі сидо́няни, що посхо́дили ра́зом з побитими, хоч був жах від їхньої, мі́ці, були посоро́млені, і полягали вони, необрі́занці, з побитими мечем, і свою га́ньбу поне́сли із тими, хто сходить в могилу.

31 Фараон їх побачить, і поті́шиться всім многолю́дством своїм, мечем побитий фараон та все його ві́йсько, говорить Господь Бог!

32 Бо поши́рю Я жах Свій на землю живих, і буде покла́дений серед необрі́занців з побитими мечем фараон та усе многолю́дство його, говорить Господь Бог“!

2 „Сину лю́дський, здійми пісню жало́бную на фараона, єгипетського царя, та й скажеш йому: Левчуко́ві з наро́дів подібний ти був, а тепер ти мов мо́рська потво́ра, — випри́скуєш воду по ріках своїх, і скаламу́чуєш воду ногами своїми, боло́тиш ти їхні річки́!

3 Отак Господь Бог промовляє: Але сітку Свою розтягну́ Я на тебе через збори числе́нних наро́дів, — і тебе Своїм не́водом ви́тягну!

4 І викину зра́зу на землю тебе, і кину тебе Я на поле широке, і над тобою спочи́не всяке птаство небесне, і тобою наси́чу звіри́ну всієї землі.

5 І дам твоє м'ясо на го́ри, а трупом твоїм Я долини напо́вню.

6 І землю, де пли́ваєш ти, аж до гір напою́ її кров'ю твоєю, тобою напо́вняться рі́чища.

7 And when I shall put the light out of you, I will cover the heavens and make the stars thereof dark; the sun shall be covered with clouds, and the moon shall not give her light.

7 А коли Я тебе погашу́, то небо закрию, а зо́рі його позате́мнюю, сонце — хмарою вкрию його, а місяць не буде світити свого світла.

8 Всі світи́ла, що світять на небі, — позате́мнюю їх над тобою, і дам темно́ту понад краєм твоїм, говорить Господь Бог!

9 І занепоко́ю Я серце числе́нних наро́дів, коли вість рознесу́ про руїну твою між наро́дами аж до країв, яких ти не знав.

11 For thus says the LORD God: The sword of Babylon shall come upon you.

11 Бо так Господь Бог промовляє: Меч царя вавилонського при́йде на тебе!

12 By the sword of mighty men will I cause your might to fall, and with the sword of all the mighty men of the nations; and they shall spoil the strength of Egypt, and all its wealth shall be plundered.

12 Мечами хоробрих Я порозкида́ю твоє многолю́дство. Усі вони — наси́льники наро́дів, і гордість Єгипту понищать вони, і все многолю́дство його буде ви́гублене.

13 I will also destroy its cattle from beside the great waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoof of cattle trouble them.

13 І ви́гублю ввесь його скот при во́дах великих, і не буде вже їх каламу́тити лю́дська нога, і копи́то скотини не буде вже їх каламу́тити.

14 Then I will make their waters clear, and cause their rivers to run smooth like oil, says the LORD God.

14 Тоді їхні води очи́щу, а їхні річки́ попрова́джу, неначе оливу, говорить Господь Бог.

15 When I have made the land of Egypt desolate, the land shall be destitute in its fullness; when I shall smite all its inhabitants, they shall know that I am the LORD.

15 Коли оберну́ Я єгипетський край на спусто́шення, і край опусто́шений буде від усього, що в нім, коли Я поб'ю́ всіх тих, що заме́шкують в ньому, то пізнають вони, що Я — то Госпо́дь!

16 This is the lamentation with which they shall lament her; the daughters of the nations shall lament over Egypt; and over all her wealth shall they lament, says the LORD God.

16 Оце пісня жало́бна, і будуть жало́бно співати її, до́чки наро́дів будуть співати жало́бно її, про Єгипет та про все многолю́дство його будуть жало́бно співати її, говорить Господь Бог“.

18 „Сину лю́дський, — жало́бно заголоси про многолю́дство Єгипту, і скинь його, його та дочок поту́жних наро́дів до підзе́много кра́ю із тими, хто сходить в могилу!

19 Come down from the sweet water, and go down to sleep with the uncircumcised.

19 Від ко́го ти став приємні́ший? Зійди й поклади́сь з необрі́занцями!

20 They shall fall in the midst of those who are slain by the sword; they shall bring her to ruin, and all her strength.

20 Попа́дють серед пробитих мечем, — меч даний на те, із ним ляжуть його всі народи.

21 The rulers of the nations shall speak to their young men out of the midst of Sheol; they shall go down, and the uncircumcised shall lie with those who are slain by the sword;

21 Будуть йому говорити сильніші з хоробрих з-посе́ред шео́лу із помічника́ми: Посхо́дили, полягали ці необрі́занці, побиті мечем:

22 Assyria is there and all her people round about her grave; all of them are slain, fallen by the sword.

22 Там Ашшур і всі збори його, навколо нього — гро́би його, всі побиті вони, від меча всі попа́дали,

24 Там Елам та ввесь на́товп його коло гро́бу його, — всі побиті вони, від меча всі попа́дали, що зійшли необрі́занцями до підзе́много кра́ю, що ши́рили жах свій по кра́ю живих, і поне́сли ганьбу свою з тими, хто схо́дить в могилу.

25 They have set her a bed among the slain in the midst of her army; the graves of all the uncircumcised are round about her grave, all slain by the sword; because they caused destruction in the land of the living; they have borne their shame with those that go down into the pit, and they lie among the slain.

25 Дали́ йому ложе посеред побитих зо всім многолю́дством його, гро́би його коло нього, всі вони необрі́занці, побиті мечем, бо ши́рили жах свій по кра́ю живих і поне́сли ганьбу свою з тими, хто сходить в могилу, посеред побитих покла́дений він.

26 Meshech is there, and Tubal, and all her host around about their graves; all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, because they caused destruction in the land of the living.

26 Там Мешех, Тувал та все многолю́дство його, гро́би його коло нього, всі вони необрі́занці, побиті мечем, бо ши́рили жах свій по краю живих.

27 And they shall lie with the valiant men who are fallen with the uncircumcised, who are gone down into Sheol with their weapons of war; and they have laid their swords under their heads, and their iniquities are upon their bones, because they caused destruction with their might in the land of the living.

27 І не бу́дуть лежати із ли́царями, що попа́дали із необрі́занців, що зійшли до шео́лу з військо́вим знаря́ддям своїм, і поклали свої мечі під свої го́лови, і їхня провина — на їхніх костя́х, бо жах перед ли́царями був у краї живих,

28 You also shall sleep among the uncircumcised and shall lie among the slain by the sword.

28 а ти розпоро́шений між необрі́занцями, і поляжеш із тими, хто побитий мечем.

29 Edom is there, her kings and all her princes, who with their might were laid with those who were slain by the sword; they shall lie with the uncircumcised and with those who go down to the pit.

29 Там Едо́м, і царі його, і князі всі його́, що при всій своїй силі були зложені з побитими мечами, — вони ляжуть з необрі́занцями та з тими, хто сходить в могилу

30 There are princes of the north, all of them and all the Zidonians, who are gone down with those that are slain by the sword, ashamed and fallen from their might; and they lie uncircumcised with those that are slain by the sword, and have borne their shame with those who go down to the pit.

30 Там півні́чні князі́, всі вони й всі сидо́няни, що посхо́дили ра́зом з побитими, хоч був жах від їхньої, мі́ці, були посоро́млені, і полягали вони, необрі́занці, з побитими мечем, і свою га́ньбу поне́сли із тими, хто сходить в могилу.

31 Pharaoh shall see them and shall be comforted over all his army slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his army, says the LORD God.

31 Фараон їх побачить, і поті́шиться всім многолю́дством своїм, мечем побитий фараон та все його ві́йсько, говорить Господь Бог!

32 For I have caused his destruction in the land of the living, and caused him to be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised with those that are slain by the sword, even Pharaoh, he and all his army, says the LORD God.

32 Бо поши́рю Я жах Свій на землю живих, і буде покла́дений серед необрі́занців з побитими мечем фараон та усе многолю́дство його, говорить Господь Бог“!
