|
1 MOREOVER the LORD said to me, Take a large scroll and write on it plainly, To hasten the captivity, and to record the spoil. |
|
2 And I took to me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest and Zechariah the son of Berechiah. |
|
3 Then I went to the prophetess; and she conceived and bore a son. Then the LORD said to me, Call his name Mesarhib-shabey-otakib-baz, Hasten to take away captives; speed to take away the spoil. |
|
4 For before the child shall know how to cry, My father and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria. |
|
5 The LORD spoke to me again, saying, |
|
6 Forsasmuch as this people have refused the waters of Shiloah, that flow softly, and rejoice in Rezin and the son of Romaliah; |
|
7 Now therefore, behold, the LORD brings up against them the waters of the river (Euphrates), many and strong, even the king of Assyria and all his glory; and he shall come up over all their brooks, and walk over all their fortified walls; |
|
8 And he shall pass through Judah and shall sweep on and go over; he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of your land, O Immanuel. |
|
9 Tremble, O you people, and you shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all you of far countries; gird yourselves, and you shall be defeated. |
|
10 Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand; for God is with us. |
|
11 For the LORD spoke thus to me, as he held me and led me aside that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, |
|
12 Do not say, A conspiracy, as this people has said conspiracy, neither shall you worship their idols nor be afraid of them. |
|
13 Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; he is your God and he is your helper. |
|
14 And he shall be for a sanctuary; and for a stone of offense and for a rock of stumbling to both the houses of Israel, for a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. |
|
15 And many of them shall stumble by them; they shall fall and be broken and be snared and be taken. |
|
16 Bind up the testimony, seal the law, |
|
17 And in my teaching I will wait for the LORD, who has turned away his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. |
|
18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for a sign and for a wonder in Israel from the LORD of hosts, who dwells on mount Zion. |
|
19 And when they shall say to you, Inquire of men who have familiar spirits and of wise men who chirp and mutter, these men are not God's people, who inquire of the dead concerning the living. |
|
20 As for the law and the testimony, if they do not speak according to this word, it is because they do not receive a bribe for it. |
|
21 And they shall pass through the land sorely beset and hungry; and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall be angry and will curse their king, and their God, and be haughty. |
|
22 And they shall look to the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, tribulation and dimness shall scatter them; but he shall not afflict him who is in distress as in the former time. |

2 І взяв я за свідків собі свідків вірних, — священика Урію та Захарія, Єверехіїного сина. |
|
3 І збли́зився я до пророчиці, і вона зачала́, і породила сина. Господь же до мене промовив: Назви ім'я́ йому: Ква́питься здобич, скорий грабіж. |
|
4 Бо поки юна́к той умі́тиме кликати „Ба́тьку мій“, та: „Мамо моя“, понесе́ться багатство Дамаску та здо́бич Самарі́ї перед обличчя царя асирійського“. |
|
5 І Господь ще далі говорив до мене й казав: |
|
6 „За те, що наро́д цей зне́хтував воду Сілоа́мську, яка тихо пливе, і має радість з Реціном і з сином Ремаліїним, |
|
7 то тому́ ось Господь піднесе́ на них воду ріки́, сильну й велику, — царя асирійського та всю славу його. І піді́йметься вона понад усі свої рі́чища, і пі́де понад усі береги́ свої. |
|
8 І пере́йде по Юді вона, заллє́ та зато́пить, аж до шиї дося́гне, і розтя́гне вона свої кри́ла на всю широчі́нь твого кра́ю, о Еммануї́ле! |
|
9 |
|
10 Радьте раду — і буде вона поруйно́вана, слово кажіть — і не збу́деться, бо з нами Бог!“ |
|
11 Бо так говорив був до мене Господь у силі Своєї руки надо мною, й остеріга́в мене, щоб не ходити дорогою цього народу, і казав: |
|
12 „Не кажіть „змо́ва“ на все, на що каже „змова“ цей наро́д, і не бійтесь того́, чого́ він боїться, і не лякайтеся! |
|
13 Господа Саваота — Його свято шануйте, і Його вам боятись, Його вам лякатись! |
|
14 І буде Він за святиню, і за камінь спотика́ння, і за скелю спокуси для двох домів Ізраїля, за сітку й за па́стку для ме́шканця Єрусалиму. |
|
15 І спіткну́ться об них багато-хто, і попа́дають, і будуть пола́мані, і заплу́таються, і будуть схо́плені. |
|
16 Зв'яжи свідо́цтво, запеча́тай Зако́на між Моїми у́чнями“. |
|
17 І я буду чекати Господа, що ховає лице Своє від Якового дому, і буду наді́ятись на Нього. |
|
18 Ось я та ті діти, що дав мені Господь, вони на знаки́ та на чу́да в Ізраїлі від Господа Саваота, що пробуває на горі Сіон. |
|
19 А коли вам скажуть: „Запи́туйте ду́хів померлих та чароді́їв, що цвірі́нькають та му́ркають“, то відповісте́: „Чи ж наро́д не звертається до свого Бога? За живих питатися мертвих?“ |
|
20 До Зако́ну й свідо́цтва! Як вони не так кажуть, як це, то немає для них зорі́ ра́нньої! |
|
21 І буде блукати ути́скуваний та голодний. І станеться, коли він зголодні́є, то запі́ниться, і прокляне́ царя свого та Бога свого, і погляне догори́, |
|
22 і поди́виться він на землю, аж ось тут горе та темнота, те́мрява у́тиску, — і він буде пхнутий у те́мність. |

3 І збли́зився я до пророчиці, і вона зачала́, і породила сина. Господь же до мене промовив: Назви ім'я́ йому: Ква́питься здобич, скорий грабіж. |

4 For before the child shall know how to cry, My father and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria. |
4 Бо поки юна́к той умі́тиме кликати „Ба́тьку мій“, та: „Мамо моя“, понесе́ться багатство Дамаску та здо́бич Самарі́ї перед обличчя царя асирійського“. |

5 The LORD spoke to me again, saying, |
5 І Господь ще далі говорив до мене й казав: |
|
6 Forsasmuch as this people have refused the waters of Shiloah, that flow softly, and rejoice in Rezin and the son of Romaliah; |
6 „За те, що наро́д цей зне́хтував воду Сілоа́мську, яка тихо пливе, і має радість з Реціном і з сином Ремаліїним, |

7 то тому́ ось Господь піднесе́ на них воду ріки́, сильну й велику, — царя асирійського та всю славу його. І піді́йметься вона понад усі свої рі́чища, і пі́де понад усі береги́ свої. |

8 And he shall pass through Judah and shall sweep on and go over; he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of your land, O Immanuel. |
8 І пере́йде по Юді вона, заллє́ та зато́пить, аж до шиї дося́гне, і розтя́гне вона свої кри́ла на всю широчі́нь твого кра́ю, о Еммануї́ле! |
|
9 Tremble, O you people, and you shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all you of far countries; gird yourselves, and you shall be defeated. |

10 Радьте раду — і буде вона поруйно́вана, слово кажіть — і не збу́деться, бо з нами Бог!“ |

11 Бо так говорив був до мене Господь у силі Своєї руки надо мною, й остеріга́в мене, щоб не ходити дорогою цього народу, і казав: |

12 „Не кажіть „змо́ва“ на все, на що каже „змова“ цей наро́д, і не бійтесь того́, чого́ він боїться, і не лякайтеся! |

13 Господа Саваота — Його свято шануйте, і Його вам боятись, Його вам лякатись! |
|

14 І буде Він за святиню, і за камінь спотика́ння, і за скелю спокуси для двох домів Ізраїля, за сітку й за па́стку для ме́шканця Єрусалиму. |

15 І спіткну́ться об них багато-хто, і попа́дають, і будуть пола́мані, і заплу́таються, і будуть схо́плені. |
|
16 Bind up the testimony, seal the law, |
16 Зв'яжи свідо́цтво, запеча́тай Зако́на між Моїми у́чнями“. |
|
17 And in my teaching I will wait for the LORD, who has turned away his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. |
17 І я буду чекати Господа, що ховає лице Своє від Якового дому, і буду наді́ятись на Нього. |
|
18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for a sign and for a wonder in Israel from the LORD of hosts, who dwells on mount Zion. |
18 Ось я та ті діти, що дав мені Господь, вони на знаки́ та на чу́да в Ізраїлі від Господа Саваота, що пробуває на горі Сіон. |

19 А коли вам скажуть: „Запи́туйте ду́хів померлих та чароді́їв, що цвірі́нькають та му́ркають“, то відповісте́: „Чи ж наро́д не звертається до свого Бога? За живих питатися мертвих?“ |

20 До Зако́ну й свідо́цтва! Як вони не так кажуть, як це, то немає для них зорі́ ра́нньої! |
|
21 And they shall pass through the land sorely beset and hungry; and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall be angry and will curse their king, and their God, and be haughty. |
21 І буде блукати ути́скуваний та голодний. І станеться, коли він зголодні́є, то запі́ниться, і прокляне́ царя свого та Бога свого, і погляне догори́, |
|
22 And they shall look to the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, tribulation and dimness shall scatter them; but he shall not afflict him who is in distress as in the former time. |
22 і поди́виться він на землю, аж ось тут горе та темнота, те́мрява у́тиску, — і він буде пхнутий у те́мність. |
