1 PRAISE the LORD. Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who is vigilant in his commandments. |
|
2 His descendants shall be mighty upon earth; he shall be blessed in the generation of the upright. |
|
3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house; and his righteousness endures for ever. |
|
4 To the upright there shines a light in the darkness; he is gracious and full of compassion upon the righteous. |
|
5 Blessed is the man who shows mercy and lends; he shall proclaim his words with judgment. |
|
6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever; the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. |
|
7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. |
|
8 His heart is strengthened; he shall not be afraid, until he sees his desire upon his enemies. |
|
9 He has given generously, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures for ever and ever; his horn shall be exalted with honor. |
|
10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash his teeth and be confounded; the desire of the wicked shall perish. |

2 Нехай буде благословенне Господнє Ім'я́ відтепе́р і навіки! |
|
3 Від сходу сонця аж до захо́ду його — прославляйте Господнє Ім'я́! |
|
4 Господь підіймається над усі наро́ди, Його слава понад небеса́! |
|
5 Хто подібний до Господа, нашого Бога, що ме́шкає на висоті́, |
|
6 та знижується, щоб побачити те, що на небеса́х і на землі? |
|
7 Бідаря́ Він підво́дить із по́роху, зо сміття́ підіймає нужде́нного, |
|
8 щоб його посади́ти з вельмо́жними, з вельмо́жними люду Його́! |
|
9 Він неплідну в домі садо́вить за радісну матір дітей! Алілуя! |
