1 ПОТОМКИ СЫНОВЕЙ НОЯ: СИМА, ХАМА, ЯФЕТА — и сыновей, которые родились у них после потопа.

2 Сыновья Яфета: Гомер, Магог, Мадай, Яван, Тувал, Мешех и Тирас.

3 Сыновья Гомера: Ашкеназ, Рифат и Тогарма.

4 Сыновья Явана: Элиша, Таршиш, Киттим и Доданим

5 (их потомки заселили острова и прибрежные земли Средиземноморья). [Всё это потомки Яфета], расселившиеся по своим землям и языку своему, соответственно их родам и племенам.

6 Сыновья Хама: Куш, Мицраим, Пут и Ханаан.

7 Сыновья Куша: Сева, Хавила, Савта, Раама и Савтеха. Сыновья Раамы: Шева и Дедан.

8 Одним из потомков Куша был Нимрод первый могущественный властелин на земле.

9 Он был охотником, превосходившим всех по силе и ловкости. Поэтому и сложилась такая поговорка: «Отличный охотник, как Нимрод».

10 Вначале его царство составляли: Вавилон, Урук, Аккад и Калне в стране Шинар.

11 Из той страны ушел он в Ассирию и построил Ниневию, Реховот-Ир, Калах

12 и Ресен, что между Ниневией и Калахом (это город великий).

13 Мицраим был праотцем лудеев, анамеев, лехавеев, нафтухеев,

14 патрусеев, каслухеев (от которых произошли филистимляне) и кафторян.

15 У Ханаана родились Сидон (его первенец) и Хет;

16 от него же произошли евусеи, амореи, гиргашеи,

17 хиввеи, аркеи, синеи,

18 арвадеи, цемареи и хаматеи. Со временем племена ханаанские стали селиться порознь,

19 и пределы обитания ханаанеев протянулись от Сидона в сторону Герара — до Газы, а также до Содома и Гоморры, Адмы и Цевоима, и до Леши.

20 Всё это потомки Хама; у каждого рода их был свой язык, свои земли, и жили они как отдельные народы.

21 Были дети и у Сима, старшего брата Яфета. Сим был праотцем всех сынов Эвера.

22 Сыновья Сима: Элам, Ашшур, Арпахшад, Луд и Арам.

23 Сыновья Арама: Уц, Хуль, Гетер и Маш.

24 У Арпахшада родился Шелах, а у Шелаха Эвер.

25 У Эвера было два сына: первого звали Пелег, потому что в его время народы мира разделились по языкам своим и рассеялись; а имя брату его — Йоктан.

26 У Йоктана родились: Альмодад, Шалеф, Хацармавет, Ерах,

27 Хадорам, Узаль, Дикла,

28 Оваль, Авимаэль, Шева,

29 Офир, Хавила и Йовав. Все они — потомки Йоктана.

30 Их поселения простирались от Меши до Сефара, горной местности на востоке.

31 Таковы потомки Сима; у каждого рода их был свой язык, свои земли, и жили они как отдельные народы.

32 Таковы семейства сыновей Ноя, перечисленные по их родословиям и народностям. После потопа от них произошли все народы земли.

Chapter 10

1 NOW these are the descendants of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and to them were sons born after the flood.

2 The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Mongolia, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

3 And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Diphar, and Togarmah.

4 And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, China, and Doranim.

5 It was from these that the people were divided into the Islands of the Gentiles and their main lands; every one after his language, after their families, in their nations.

6 And the sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

7 And the sons of Cush: Sheba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabtechah. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba, and Daran.

8 And Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth.

9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod was a mighty hunter before the LORD.

10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, Erech, Akhar, and Caliah, in the land of Sinar.

11 Out of Sinar went forth the Assyrian and built Nineveh, and the city of Rehoboth, and Calah,

12 And Resen which lies between Nineveh and Calah; the same is a great city.

13 And Mizraim begot Ludim and Anamim and Lehabim and Naphtuhim

14 And Pathrusim and Casluhim (out of whom came the Philistines) and Caphtorim.

15 And Canaan begot Sidon, his first-born, and Heth,

16 And the Jebusite, the Amorite, the Girgasite,

17 And the Havite, the Arkite, the Sinite,

18 And the Arvadite, the Zemarite, and the Hamathite; and afterward the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.

19 And the border of the Canaanites extended from Sidon, which is at the entrance of Gadar, as far as Gaza; which is at the entrance of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, as far as Lasha.

20 These are the sons of Ham, after their families and their languages, in their lands and in their nations.

21 To Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, even to him were children born.

22 The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphakhashar, Lud and Aram.

23 And the children of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.

24 And Arphakhashar begot Shalah; and Shalah begot Eber.

25 And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

26 And Joktan begot Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,

27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,

28 Obal, Abimael, and Sheba,

29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were sons of Joktan.

30 The lands which they inhabited extended from Mesha, which is at the entrance of Sepharvim, a mount in the east.

31 These are the sons of Shem, after their families, their languages, in their lands, after their nations.

32 These are the descendants of the sons of Noah, according to their families, in their nations: and from these the people spread abroad on the earth after the flood.

1 ПОТОМКИ СЫНОВЕЙ НОЯ: СИМА, ХАМА, ЯФЕТА — и сыновей, которые родились у них после потопа.

1 NOW these are the descendants of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and to them were sons born after the flood.

2 Сыновья Яфета: Гомер, Магог, Мадай, Яван, Тувал, Мешех и Тирас.

2 The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Mongolia, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

3 Сыновья Гомера: Ашкеназ, Рифат и Тогарма.

3 And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Diphar, and Togarmah.

4 Сыновья Явана: Элиша, Таршиш, Киттим и Доданим

4 And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, China, and Doranim.

5 (их потомки заселили острова и прибрежные земли Средиземноморья). [Всё это потомки Яфета], расселившиеся по своим землям и языку своему, соответственно их родам и племенам.

5 It was from these that the people were divided into the Islands of the Gentiles and their main lands; every one after his language, after their families, in their nations.

6 Сыновья Хама: Куш, Мицраим, Пут и Ханаан.

6 And the sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

7 Сыновья Куша: Сева, Хавила, Савта, Раама и Савтеха. Сыновья Раамы: Шева и Дедан.

7 And the sons of Cush: Sheba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabtechah. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba, and Daran.

8 Одним из потомков Куша был Нимрод первый могущественный властелин на земле.

8 And Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth.

9 Он был охотником, превосходившим всех по силе и ловкости. Поэтому и сложилась такая поговорка: «Отличный охотник, как Нимрод».

9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod was a mighty hunter before the LORD.

10 Вначале его царство составляли: Вавилон, Урук, Аккад и Калне в стране Шинар.

10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, Erech, Akhar, and Caliah, in the land of Sinar.

11 Из той страны ушел он в Ассирию и построил Ниневию, Реховот-Ир, Калах

11 Out of Sinar went forth the Assyrian and built Nineveh, and the city of Rehoboth, and Calah,

12 и Ресен, что между Ниневией и Калахом (это город великий).

12 And Resen which lies between Nineveh and Calah; the same is a great city.

13 And Mizraim begot Ludim and Anamim and Lehabim and Naphtuhim

19 And the border of the Canaanites extended from Sidon, which is at the entrance of Gadar, as far as Gaza; which is at the entrance of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, as far as Lasha.

20 Всё это потомки Хама; у каждого рода их был свой язык, свои земли, и жили они как отдельные народы.

20 These are the sons of Ham, after their families and their languages, in their lands and in their nations.

21 Были дети и у Сима, старшего брата Яфета. Сим был праотцем всех сынов Эвера.

21 To Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, even to him were children born.

22 Сыновья Сима: Элам, Ашшур, Арпахшад, Луд и Арам.

22 The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphakhashar, Lud and Aram.

23 Сыновья Арама: Уц, Хуль, Гетер и Маш.

23 And the children of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.

24 У Арпахшада родился Шелах, а у Шелаха Эвер.

24 And Arphakhashar begot Shalah; and Shalah begot Eber.

25 У Эвера было два сына: первого звали Пелег, потому что в его время народы мира разделились по языкам своим и рассеялись; а имя брату его — Йоктан.

25 And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

26 У Йоктана родились: Альмодад, Шалеф, Хацармавет, Ерах,

26 And Joktan begot Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
