2 Some remove5472 the landmarks;1367 they violently1497 take1497 away flocks,5739 and feed7462 thereof.

3 They drive5090 away the ass2543 of the fatherless,3490 they take2254 the widow's490 ox7794 for a pledge.2254

4 They turn5186 the needy34 out of the way:1870 the poor6035 of the earth776 hide2244 themselves together.3162

5 Behold,2005 as wild6501 asses6501 in the desert,4057 go3318 they forth3318 to their work;6467 rising7836 betimes7836 for a prey:2964 the wilderness6160 yields food3899 for them and for their children.5288

6 They reap7114 every one his corn1098 in the field:7704 and they gather3953 the vintage3754 of the wicked.7563

13 They are of those that rebel4775 against the light;216 they know5234 not the ways1870 thereof, nor3808 abide3427 in the paths5410 thereof.

14 The murderer7523 rising6965 with the light216 kills6991 the poor6041 and needy,34 and in the night3915 is as a thief.1590

15 The eye5869 also of the adulterer5003 waits8104 for the twilight,5399 saying,559 No3808 eye5869 shall see7789 me: and disguises5643 his face.6440

16 In the dark2822 they dig2864 through2864 houses,1004 which they had marked2856 for themselves in the daytime:3119 they know3045 not the light.216

17 For the morning1242 is to them even as the shadow6757 of death:6757 if3588 one know5234 them, they are in the terrors1091 of the shadow6757 of death.6757

18 He is swift7031 as the waters;4325 their portion2513 is cursed7043 in the earth:776 he beholds6437 not the way1870 of the vineyards.3754

19 Drought6723 and heat2527 consume1497 the snow7950 waters:4325 so does the grave7585 those which have sinned.2398

20 The womb7358 shall forget7911 him; the worm7415 shall feed sweetly4988 on him; he shall be no3808 more5750 remembered;2142 and wickedness5766 shall be broken7665 as a tree.6086

21 He evil7462 entreats the barren6135 that bears3205 not: and does not good3190 to the widow.490

22 He draws4900 also the mighty47 with his power:3581 he rises6965 up, and no3808 man is sure539 of life.2416

23 Though it be given5414 him to be in safety,983 where on he rests;8172 yet his eyes5869 are on their ways.1870

24 They are exalted7426 for a little4592 while, but are gone369 and brought4355 low;4355 they are taken7092 out of the way1870 as all3605 other, and cut5243 off as the tops7218 of the ears7641 of corn.

25 And if518 it be not so now,645 who4310 will make7760 me a liar,3576 and make7760 my speech4405 nothing408 worth?

1 Почто времена не сокрыты от Вседержителя, а знающие Его не видят дней Его?

2 Здесь передвигают межи, угоняют стадо, и пасут у себя.

3 Уводят осла у сирот, в залог берут вола вдовицы.

4 Сталкивают бедных с дороги, все страдальцы земли принуждены скрываться.

5 Вот онагры в пустыне, выходят на дело свое; рано утром встают на добычу; степь дает им хлеб для детей.

6 На поле корм свой жнут, и подбирают в винограднике нечестивца;

7 Нагие ночуют без покрова, и без одеяния на стуже;

8 Под горными дождями мокнут, и не имея прибежища, обнимают скалу.

9 Одни отторгают сироту от сосцев, и гибель ведут на бедного.

10 Другие ходят наги, без одеяния, и голодные носят снопы,

11 Между стенами их делают масло оливковое, топчут точила и жаждут.

12 Слышны стоны людей из города, и душа убиваемых вопиет, и Бог не смотрит на моление.

13 Иные составляют число врагов света {описавши жизнь злодеев, совершающих злодеяния среди белого дня, Иов переходит к изображению тех, которые злодействуют только ночью}, не знают путей Его, и не пребывают на стезях Его.

14 Перед светом встает убийца, умерщвляет бедного и нищего, и ночью бывает вором.

15 И око прелюбодея ждет сумерков, говоря: `ничей глаз не увидит меня`, и полагает на лице покрывало.

16 В темноте вламываются в дома, днем запечатывают себя, не знают света.

17 Ибо им все одно, утро, смертная тень {утром конец их злодеяниям}; ибо с ужасами тени смертной знакомы.

18 Легок такой на поверхности воды; проклят участок его на земле; недостоин он и взглянуть на путь виноградных садов. {т.е. они никогда не ведут счастливой жизни племен земледельческих и оседлых, оставивших кочевую жизнь.}

19 Сухая земля и жары поглощают воды снежные... Преисподняя грешникам!

20 Пусть бы забыла его утроба матери; пусть бы сосал его червь; перестали бы и вспоминать об нем, и сокрушилось бы, как дерево, беззаконие,

21 Он, который делает зло бездетной {не имеющей защиты в детях}, неплодной женщине, и не делает добра вдовице.

22 Но могучие пребывают долго в силе своей; восстают, когда и сами не верили, что будут живы.

23 Он дает ему все для безопасности, на что он опирается, хотя очи Его на пути их взирают.

24 Стоят высоко; вдруг и нет их; падают, как и все, заключаемые во гробы, и срезаются, как вершина колоса.

25 И не так ли теперь? кто обличит меня во лжи, и в ничто обратит речь мою?

19 Сухая земля и жары поглощают воды снежные... Преисподняя грешникам!
