1 Why,4069 seeing times6256 are not hidden6845 from the Almighty,7706 do they that know5234 him not see2372 his days?3117

2 Some remove5472 the landmarks;1367 they violently1497 take1497 away flocks,5739 and feed7462 thereof.

3 They drive5090 away the ass2543 of the fatherless,3490 they take2254 the widow's490 ox7794 for a pledge.2254

4 They turn5186 the needy34 out of the way:1870 the poor6035 of the earth776 hide2244 themselves together.3162

5 Behold,2005 as wild6501 asses6501 in the desert,4057 go3318 they forth3318 to their work;6467 rising7836 betimes7836 for a prey:2964 the wilderness6160 yields food3899 for them and for their children.5288

6 They reap7114 every one his corn1098 in the field:7704 and they gather3953 the vintage3754 of the wicked.7563

14 The murderer7523 rising6965 with the light216 kills6991 the poor6041 and needy,34 and in the night3915 is as a thief.1590

15 The eye5869 also of the adulterer5003 waits8104 for the twilight,5399 saying,559 No3808 eye5869 shall see7789 me: and disguises5643 his face.6440

16 In the dark2822 they dig2864 through2864 houses,1004 which they had marked2856 for themselves in the daytime:3119 they know3045 not the light.216

17 For the morning1242 is to them even as the shadow6757 of death:6757 if3588 one know5234 them, they are in the terrors1091 of the shadow6757 of death.6757

18 He is swift7031 as the waters;4325 their portion2513 is cursed7043 in the earth:776 he beholds6437 not the way1870 of the vineyards.3754

19 Drought6723 and heat2527 consume1497 the snow7950 waters:4325 so does the grave7585 those which have sinned.2398

21 He evil7462 entreats the barren6135 that bears3205 not: and does not good3190 to the widow.490

23 Though it be given5414 him to be in safety,983 where on he rests;8172 yet his eyes5869 are on their ways.1870

1 Для чо́го часи́ не заховані від Всемогу́тнього? Ті ж, що знають Його, Його днів не побачать!

2 Пересо́вують ме́жі безбожні, стадо грабують вони та пасу́ть,

3 займають осла в сироти́ни, беруть у заста́ву вола від удовиць.

4 вони бідних з дороги спиха́ють, разом мусять ховатися збі́джені кра́ю.

5 Тож вони, бідарі́, немов дикі осли на пустині, вихо́дять на працю свою, здобичі шукаючи, — степ йому хліба дає для дітей.

6 На полі вночі вони жнуть, і збирають собі виноград у безбожного,

7 на́го ночують вони, без одежі, і не мають вкриття́ собі в холоді,

8 мокнуть від зливи гірсько́ї, а засло́ни не маючи, скелю вони обіймають.

9 Сироту́ відривають від перс, і в заста́ву беруть від убогого.

10 Ходять на́го вони, без вбрання́, і голодними носять снопи́.

11 Хоч між му́рами їхніми ро́блять оливу, то́пчуть чави́ла, — та прагнуть вони!

12 Стогнуть люди із міста, і кричить душа вби́ваних, а Бог на це зло не зверта́є уваги.

13 Вони проти світла бунту́ють, не знають дорі́г Його, і на сте́жках Його не сидять.

14 На світа́нку встає душогу́б, замордо́вує бідного та злидаря́, а ніч він прово́дить, як зло́дій.

15 А перелю́бника око чекає смерка́ння, говорячи: „Не побачить мене жодне око!“ і засло́ну кладе на обличчя.

16 Підко́пуються під доми́ в темноті́, замика́ються вдень, світла не знають вони,

17 бо ра́нок для них усіх ра́зом — то те́мрява, і знають вони жахи те́мряви.

18 Такий легкий він на пове́рхні води, на землі їхня частка прокля́та, — не ве́рнеться він на дорогу садів-виноградів.

19 Як посу́ха та спе́ка їдять сніжну во́ду, так шео́л поїсть грі́шників!

20 Забуде його лоно матері, буде жерти черва́ його, мов солодо́щі, більше не буде він зга́дуваний, — і безбожник поламаний буде, мов де́рево!

21 Чинить зло для бездітної він, щоб вона не родила, і вдовиці не зробить добра́.

22 А міццю своєю він тягне могутніх, — коли він встає, то ніхто вже не певний свойо́го життя!

23 Бог дає йому все на безпе́ку, і на те він спира́ється, та очі Його бачать їхні доро́ги:

24 піді́ймуться трохи — й не має вже їх, бо понижені. Як усе, вони гинуть, — і зрі́зуються, немов та колоско́ва голо́вка.

25 Якщо ж ні, то хто зробить мене неправдомо́вцем, а слово моє на марно́ту обе́рне?“
