Chapter 11

1 Also I589 in the first259 year8141 of Darius1867 the Mede,4075 even I, stood5975 to confirm2388 and to strengthen4581 him.

2 And now6258 will I show5046 thee the truth.571 Behold,2009 there shall stand up5975 yet5750 three7969 kings4428 in Persia;6539 and the fourth7243 shall be far richer6238 1419 6239 than they all:4480 3605 and by his strength2393 through his riches6239 he shall stir up5782 all3605 against854 the realm4438 of Greece.3120

3 And a mighty1368 king4428 shall stand up,5975 that shall rule4910 with great7227 dominion,4474 and do6213 according to his will.7522

4 And when he shall stand up,5975 his kingdom4438 shall be broken,7665 and shall be divided2673 toward the four702 winds7307 of heaven;8064 and not3808 to his posterity,319 nor3808 according to his dominion4915 which834 he ruled:4910 for3588 his kingdom4438 shall be plucked up,5428 even for others312 beside4480 905 those.428

5 And the king4428 of the south5045 shall be strong,2388 and one of4480 his princes;8269 and he shall be strong2388 above5921 him, and have dominion;4910 his dominion4474 shall be a great7227 dominion.4474

6 And in the end7093 of years8141 they shall join themselves together;2266 for the king's4428 daughter1323 of the south5045 shall come935 to413 the king4428 of the north6828 to make6213 an agreement:4339 but she shall not3808 retain6113 the power3581 of the arm;2220 neither3808 shall he stand,5975 nor his arm:2220 but she1931 shall be given up,5414 and they that brought935 her, and he that begot3205 her, and he that strengthened2388 her in these times.6256

7 But out of a branch4480 5342 of her roots8328 shall one stand up5975 in his estate,3653 which shall come935 with413 an army,2428 and shall enter935 into the fortress4581 of the king4428 of the north,6828 and shall deal6213 against them, and shall prevail: 2388

8 And shall also1571 carry935 captives7628 into Egypt4714 their gods,430 with5973 their princes,5257 and with5973 their precious2532 vessels3627 of silver3701 and of gold;2091 and he1931 shall continue5975 more years8141 than the king4480 4428 of the north.6828

9 So the king4428 of the south5045 shall come935 into his kingdom,4438 and shall return7725 into413 his own land.127

10 But his sons1121 shall be stirred up,1624 and shall assemble622 a multitude1995 of great7227 forces:2428 and one shall certainly come,935 935 and overflow,7857 and pass through:5674 then shall he return,7725 and be stirred up,1624 even to5704 his fortress.4581

11 And the king4428 of the south5045 shall be moved with anger,4843 and shall come forth3318 and fight3898 with5973 him, even with5973 the king4428 of the north:6828 and he shall set forth5975 a great7227 multitude;1995 but the multitude1995 shall be given5414 into his hand.3027

12 And when he hath taken away5375 the multitude,1995 his heart3824 shall be lifted up;7311 and he shall cast down5307 many ten thousands:7239 but he shall not3808 be strengthened5810 by it.

13 For the king4428 of the north6828 shall return,7725 and shall set forth5975 a multitude1995 greater7227 than4480 the former,7223 and shall certainly come935 935 after7093 certain6256 years8141 with a great1419 army2428 and with much7227 riches.7399

14 And in those1992 times6256 there shall many7227 stand up5975 against5921 the king4428 of the south:5045 also the robbers1121 6530 of thy people5971 shall exalt themselves5375 to establish5975 the vision;2377 but they shall fall.3782

15 So the king4428 of the north6828 shall come,935 and cast up8210 a mount,5550 and take3920 the most fenced4013 cities:5892 and the arms2220 of the south5045 shall not3808 withstand,5975 neither his chosen4005 people,5971 neither369 shall there be any strength3581 to withstand.5975

16 But he that cometh935 against413 him shall do6213 according to his own will,7522 and none369 shall stand5975 before6440 him: and he shall stand5975 in the glorious6643 land,776 which by his hand3027 shall be consumed.3615

17 He shall also set7760 his face6440 to enter935 with the strength8633 of his whole3605 kingdom,4438 and upright ones3477 with5973 him; thus shall he do:6213 and he shall give5414 him the daughter1323 of women,802 corrupting7843 her: but she shall not3808 stand5975 on his side, neither3808 be1961 for him.

18 After this shall he turn7725 his face6440 unto the isles,339 and shall take3920 many:7227 but a prince7101 for his own behalf shall cause the reproach2781 offered by him to cease;7673 without1115 his own reproach2781 he shall cause it to turn7725 upon him.

19 Then he shall turn7725 his face6440 toward the fort4581 of his own land:776 but he shall stumble3782 and fall,5307 and not3808 be found.4672

20 Then shall stand up5975 in5921 his estate3653 a raiser5674 of taxes5065 in the glory1925 of the kingdom:4438 but within few259 days3117 he shall be destroyed,7665 neither3808 in anger,639 nor3808 in battle.4421

21 And in5921 his estate3653 shall stand up5975 a vile person,959 to5921 whom they shall not3808 give5414 the honor1935 of the kingdom:4438 but he shall come in935 peaceably,7962 and obtain2388 the kingdom4438 by flatteries.2519

22 And with the arms2220 of a flood7858 shall they be overflown7857 from before4480 6440 him, and shall be broken;7665 yea, also1571 the prince5057 of the covenant.1285

23 And after4480 the league2266 made with413 him he shall work6213 deceitfully:4820 for he shall come up,5927 and shall become strong6105 with a small4592 people.1471

24 He shall enter935 peaceably7962 even upon the fattest places4924 of the province;4082 and he shall do6213 that which834 his fathers1 have not3808 done,6213 nor his fathers'1 fathers;1 he shall scatter967 among them the prey,961 and spoil,7998 and riches:7399 yea, and he shall forecast2803 his devices4284 against5921 the strongholds,4013 even for5704 a time.6256

25 And he shall stir up5782 his power3581 and his courage3824 against5921 the king4428 of the south5045 with a great1419 army;2428 and the king4428 of the south5045 shall be stirred up1624 to battle4421 with a very5704 3966 great1419 and mighty6099 army;2428 but he shall not3808 stand:5975 for3588 they shall forecast2803 devices4284 against5921 him.

26 Yea, they that feed398 of the portion of his meat6598 shall destroy7665 him, and his army2428 shall overflow:7857 and many7227 shall fall down5307 slain.2491

27 And both8147 these kings'4428 hearts3824 shall be to do mischief,4827 and they shall speak1696 lies3577 at5921 one259 table;7979 but it shall not3808 prosper:6743 for3588 yet5750 the end7093 shall be at the time appointed.4150

28 Then shall he return7725 into his land776 with great1419 riches;7399 and his heart3824 shall be against5921 the holy6944 covenant;1285 and he shall do6213 exploits, and return7725 to his own land.776

29 At the time appointed4150 he shall return,7725 and come935 toward the south;5045 but it shall not3808 be1961 as the former,7223 or as the latter.314

30 For the ships6716 of Chittim3794 shall come935 against him: therefore he shall be grieved,3512 and return,7725 and have indignation2194 against5921 the holy6944 covenant:1285 so shall he do;6213 he shall even return,7725 and have intelligence995 with5921 them that forsake5800 the holy6944 covenant.1285

31 And arms2220 shall stand5975 on his part,4480 and they shall pollute2490 the sanctuary4720 of strength,4581 and shall take away5493 the daily8548 sacrifice, and they shall place5414 the abomination8251 that maketh desolate.8074

32 And such as do wickedly against7561 the covenant1285 shall he corrupt2610 by flatteries:2514 but the people5971 that do know3045 their God430 shall be strong,2388 and do6213 exploits.

33 And they that understand7919 among the people5971 shall instruct995 many:7227 yet they shall fall3782 by the sword,2719 and by flame,3852 by captivity,7628 and by spoil,961 many days.3117

34 Now when they shall fall,3782 they shall be helped5826 with a little4592 help:5828 but many7227 shall cleave3867 to5921 them with flatteries.2519

35 And some of4480 them of understanding7919 shall fall,3782 to try6884 them, and to purge,1305 and to make them white,3835 even to5704 the time6256 of the end:7093 because3588 it is yet5750 for a time appointed.4150

36 And the king4428 shall do6213 according to his will;7522 and he shall exalt himself,7311 and magnify himself1431 above5921 every3605 god,410 and shall speak1696 marvelous things6381 against5921 the God410 of gods,410 and shall prosper6743 till5704 the indignation2195 be accomplished:3615 for3588 that that is determined2782 shall be done.6213

37 Neither shall he regard5921 3808 995 the God430 of his fathers,1 nor the desire2532 of women,802 nor regard any3605 3808 995 god:433 for3588 he shall magnify himself1431 above5921 all.3605

38 But in5921 his estate3653 shall he honor3513 the God433 of forces:4581 and a god433 whom834 his fathers1 knew3045 not3808 shall he honor3513 with gold,2091 and silver,3701 and with precious3368 stones,68 and pleasant things.2530

39 Thus shall he do6213 in the most strong holds4013 4581 with5973 a strange5236 god,433 whom834 he shall acknowledge5234 and increase7235 with glory:3519 and he shall cause them to rule4910 over many,7227 and shall divide2505 the land127 for gain.4242

40 And at the time6256 of the end7093 shall the king4428 of the south5045 push5055 at5973 him: and the king4428 of the north6828 shall come against him like a whirlwind,8175 5921 with chariots,7393 and with horsemen,6571 and with many7227 ships;591 and he shall enter935 into the countries,776 and shall overflow7857 and pass over.5674

41 He shall enter935 also into the glorious6643 land,776 and many7227 countries shall be overthrown:3782 but these428 shall escape4422 out of his hand,4480 3027 even Edom,123 and Moab,4124 and the chief7225 of the children1121 of Ammon.5983

42 He shall stretch forth7971 his hand3027 also upon the countries:776 and the land776 of Egypt4714 shall not3808 escape.1961 6413

43 But he shall have power4910 over the treasures4362 of gold2091 and of silver,3701 and over all3605 the precious things2530 of Egypt:4714 and the Libyans3864 and the Ethiopians3569 shall be at his steps.4703

44 But tidings8052 out of the east4480 4217 and out of the north4480 6828 shall trouble926 him: therefore he shall go forth3318 with great1419 fury2534 to destroy,8045 and utterly to make away2763 many.7227

45 And he shall plant5193 the tabernacles168 of his palace643 between996 the seas3220 in the glorious6643 holy6944 mountain;2022 yet he shall come935 to5704 his end,7093 and none369 shall help5826 him.

1 Что же до меня, то я поддерживал и защищал его в первый год правления Дария Мидийского.)

2 Теперь я поведаю тебе о том, что воистину должно совершиться. Еще три царя явятся в Персии, затем — четвертый, который своим великим богатством превзойдет всех своих предшественников. И когда он благодаря своему богатству обретет еще и могущество, то поднимет всех против царства греческого.

3 Тогда явится царь воинственный, он будет править весьма властно и действовать по своему произволу.

4 Но лишь только он поднимется, расширив свои владения, как его царству придет конец: распадется оно на четыре части. Не будет больше царство это таким сильным, каким было при нем, потому что будет раздроблено, и не достанется его потомству — будет оно отдано чужим.

5 Станет сильным царь южный, но один из его военачальников превзойдет его своею силой и будет властвовать над еще более обширными землями.

6 С течением времени они станут союзниками; и чтобы скрепить союз между ними, дочь царя южного будет отдана царю северному. Но не удержит она власти в своих руках, да и принявший ее у власти не останется. И она, и сопровождавшие ее, и ее дитя, и покровительствовавший ей — все окажутся жертвами предательства.

7 Но другой побег от ее же корня поднимется на месте павших и пойдет против войска своих врагов. Он ворвется в крепости царя северного и, сразившись с ним, одержит победу.

8 И даже идолов противников своих, их литых истуканов, он как добычу увезет в Египет вместе с их драгоценными сосудами, золотом и серебром. После этого он на несколько лет оставит царя северного в покое.

9 Затем царь северный вторгнется во владения царя южного, но должен будет возвратиться в свои земли.

10 Сыновья его поднимутся на войну, собрав многочисленное войско, которое будет продвигаться, как разлившаяся река, прорываясь вперед и поворачивая вспять, чтобы потом с боями пройти до самой вражеской крепости.

11 Царь южный придет в ярость и вступит в сражение с царем северным, а тот выставит большое войско, но оно будет отдано во власть царя южного.

12 Когда сметена будет эта враждебная сила, победитель преисполнится гордости. Он уничтожит десятки тысяч, но не сохранит своего господства —

13 царь северный вновь соберет силы, еще больше прежних, и вернется с огромным, хорошо вооруженным войском через несколько лет.

14 В те времена многие восстанут против царя южного. Поднимутся также и мятежники среди твоего народа во исполнение видения, но они потерпят неудачу.

15 Тогда явится царь северный, возведет осадный вал и штурмом возьмет укрепленный город. Не устоят силы юга — даже отборное войско не выдержит осады, сил ему не хватит.

16 А вторгшийся захватчик будет действовать по своему произволу, и никто не сможет дать ему отпор. Утвердится он в Прекрасной Земле и будет способен ее уничтожить.

17 Он вознамерится выступить со всею мощью своего царства, пойдет на всякие соглашения и попытается, отдав царю южному дочь в жены, овладеть теми землями, но осуществить свои замыслы ему не удастся.

18 Тогда он обратит свой взор на прибрежные земли, и многие из них он захватит, но найдется полководец, который остановит его дерзкие действия, обратив эту дерзость против него самого.

19 Придется ему отступить в укрепленные города своей страны, но оступится он, упадет — и его не станет.

20 Его преемник велит собирать подати для славы своего царства, но через несколько лет и он будет уничтожен, хотя и не в пылу сражения.

21 Место его на престоле займет другой — человек презренный, которому царский титул и не предназначался. Он придет к власти по беспечности людей и приберет к рукам царство хитрыми и льстивыми речами.

22 Будут смыты, как потопом, и сокрушены перед ним несметные силы, а с ними — и вождь завета.

23 После того как заключат с ним союз, он станет поступать вероломно; и хотя лишь немногие будут его поддерживать, он укрепится во власти.

24 Нападать будет он на богатые земли, когда того не ожидают, и творить будет то, чего не творили ни отцы его, ни деды. Расточать будет он среди своих сторонников добычу, награбленное добро и богатство, и замышлять нападения на укрепленные города — но всё это до времени.

25 Соберет он все свои силы, преисполнится решимости и поведет огромное войско против царя южного. Царь южный также выйдет на войну с огромным и очень сильным войском, однако из-за козней, ему устроенных, устоять не сможет.

26 Те, кто с ним разделял трапезу, погубят его, и растечется его войско, как вода, потеряв на полях многих убитыми.

27 Оба эти царя будут вынашивать злобу и лгать друг другу даже сидя за одним столом, но желаемого не достигнут — положен будет тому предел в назначенный срок.

28 Возвращаясь в свою страну с великим богатством, царь северный затаит в своем сердце ненависть к святому завету. Но он сделает то, что задумал, и вернется в свою землю.

29 В назначенное время вновь пойдет он на юг, но последний его поход не будет таков, как прежний.

30 Выйдут против него корабли Киттима — и он, упав духом, повернет назад и направит свою ярость на святой завет. Вернувшись домой, начнет царь северный выказывать расположение тем, кто отступил от святого завета.

31 Силы, ему подвластные, будут осквернять Святилище — данное Богом прибежище. Они упразднят ежедневное священнодействие и будут насаждать ту мерзость, что приводит к запустению.

32 Тех, кто нарушил завет, царь северный совратит своими льстивыми речами, но люди, которые чтут Бога своего, решительно восстанут против него.

33 Мудрые будут учить многих, однако на время они станут жертвами гонений — меча и огня, тюрем и грабежей.

34 Они не останутся без поддержки, когда будут изнемогать, но многие присоединятся к ним только для вида.

35 Из мудрых иные падут: они тоже должны быть испытаны, облагорожены и очищены — быть тому до срока, до времени конца, который наступит в свой час.

36 А царь будет действовать по своему произволу, будет превозносить и возвеличивать себя превыше всякого божества и о Боге богов говорить с неслыханной дерзостью. Он будет преуспевать, пока не переполнится чаша Божьего терпения (что предрешено, то должно исполниться).

37 Не посчитается он ни с Богом отцов своих, ни с божеством, желанным для женщин: превознесется над всем, потому что любое божество для него — ничто.

38 Вместо этих богов он будет воздавать почести богу силы: праотцы его не признавали этого бога, а он будет чествовать его золотом и серебром, драгоценными камнями и богатыми дарами.

39 И укреплять он будет свои самые мощные крепости, поклоняясь этому чужому божеству. Признавшим же его за властителя он воздаст великие почести, наделит властью над многими и наградит землями.

40 Когда придет время конца, царь южный пойдет войной на царя северного. Но царь северный устремится на него, как буря, с колесницами, всадниками и множеством кораблей; вторгшись в его земли, он наводнит их, как разлившаяся река, и пройдет через них.

41 Войдет и в Прекрасную Землю, и десятки тысяч станут его жертвами; избегнут той участи только Эдом, Моав и цвет сынов Аммона.

42 И когда он станет захватывать одну страну за другой, не спасется и Египет

43 царь северный завладеет сокровищами Египта: золотом, серебром и разными драгоценностями; покорно последуют за ним ливийцы и нубийцы.

44 Но слухи с востока и севера встревожат царя, и он в сильнейшей ярости выйдет уничтожать и губить многих.

45 Раскинет он шатры свои царские между морем и прекрасной Святой горой, но ему придет конец — и никто ему уже не поможет.

8 И даже идолов противников своих, их литых истуканов, он как добычу увезет в Египет вместе с их драгоценными сосудами, золотом и серебром. После этого он на несколько лет оставит царя северного в покое.

9 So the king4428 of the south5045 shall come935 into his kingdom,4438 and shall return7725 into413 his own land.127

9 Затем царь северный вторгнется во владения царя южного, но должен будет возвратиться в свои земли.

11 Царь южный придет в ярость и вступит в сражение с царем северным, а тот выставит большое войско, но оно будет отдано во власть царя южного.

12 Когда сметена будет эта враждебная сила, победитель преисполнится гордости. Он уничтожит десятки тысяч, но не сохранит своего господства —

13 For the king4428 of the north6828 shall return,7725 and shall set forth5975 a multitude1995 greater7227 than4480 the former,7223 and shall certainly come935 935 after7093 certain6256 years8141 with a great1419 army2428 and with much7227 riches.7399

13 царь северный вновь соберет силы, еще больше прежних, и вернется с огромным, хорошо вооруженным войском через несколько лет.

14 And in those1992 times6256 there shall many7227 stand up5975 against5921 the king4428 of the south:5045 also the robbers1121 6530 of thy people5971 shall exalt themselves5375 to establish5975 the vision;2377 but they shall fall.3782

14 В те времена многие восстанут против царя южного. Поднимутся также и мятежники среди твоего народа во исполнение видения, но они потерпят неудачу.

15 Тогда явится царь северный, возведет осадный вал и штурмом возьмет укрепленный город. Не устоят силы юга — даже отборное войско не выдержит осады, сил ему не хватит.

16 But he that cometh935 against413 him shall do6213 according to his own will,7522 and none369 shall stand5975 before6440 him: and he shall stand5975 in the glorious6643 land,776 which by his hand3027 shall be consumed.3615

16 А вторгшийся захватчик будет действовать по своему произволу, и никто не сможет дать ему отпор. Утвердится он в Прекрасной Земле и будет способен ее уничтожить.

17 He shall also set7760 his face6440 to enter935 with the strength8633 of his whole3605 kingdom,4438 and upright ones3477 with5973 him; thus shall he do:6213 and he shall give5414 him the daughter1323 of women,802 corrupting7843 her: but she shall not3808 stand5975 on his side, neither3808 be1961 for him.

17 Он вознамерится выступить со всею мощью своего царства, пойдет на всякие соглашения и попытается, отдав царю южному дочь в жены, овладеть теми землями, но осуществить свои замыслы ему не удастся.

18 After this shall he turn7725 his face6440 unto the isles,339 and shall take3920 many:7227 but a prince7101 for his own behalf shall cause the reproach2781 offered by him to cease;7673 without1115 his own reproach2781 he shall cause it to turn7725 upon him.

18 Тогда он обратит свой взор на прибрежные земли, и многие из них он захватит, но найдется полководец, который остановит его дерзкие действия, обратив эту дерзость против него самого.

19 Then he shall turn7725 his face6440 toward the fort4581 of his own land:776 but he shall stumble3782 and fall,5307 and not3808 be found.4672

19 Придется ему отступить в укрепленные города своей страны, но оступится он, упадет — и его не станет.

20 Then shall stand up5975 in5921 his estate3653 a raiser5674 of taxes5065 in the glory1925 of the kingdom:4438 but within few259 days3117 he shall be destroyed,7665 neither3808 in anger,639 nor3808 in battle.4421

20 Его преемник велит собирать подати для славы своего царства, но через несколько лет и он будет уничтожен, хотя и не в пылу сражения.

21 And in5921 his estate3653 shall stand up5975 a vile person,959 to5921 whom they shall not3808 give5414 the honor1935 of the kingdom:4438 but he shall come in935 peaceably,7962 and obtain2388 the kingdom4438 by flatteries.2519

21 Место его на престоле займет другой — человек презренный, которому царский титул и не предназначался. Он придет к власти по беспечности людей и приберет к рукам царство хитрыми и льстивыми речами.

22 And with the arms2220 of a flood7858 shall they be overflown7857 from before4480 6440 him, and shall be broken;7665 yea, also1571 the prince5057 of the covenant.1285

22 Будут смыты, как потопом, и сокрушены перед ним несметные силы, а с ними — и вождь завета.

23 And after4480 the league2266 made with413 him he shall work6213 deceitfully:4820 for he shall come up,5927 and shall become strong6105 with a small4592 people.1471

23 После того как заключат с ним союз, он станет поступать вероломно; и хотя лишь немногие будут его поддерживать, он укрепится во власти.

24 He shall enter935 peaceably7962 even upon the fattest places4924 of the province;4082 and he shall do6213 that which834 his fathers1 have not3808 done,6213 nor his fathers'1 fathers;1 he shall scatter967 among them the prey,961 and spoil,7998 and riches:7399 yea, and he shall forecast2803 his devices4284 against5921 the strongholds,4013 even for5704 a time.6256

24 Нападать будет он на богатые земли, когда того не ожидают, и творить будет то, чего не творили ни отцы его, ни деды. Расточать будет он среди своих сторонников добычу, награбленное добро и богатство, и замышлять нападения на укрепленные города — но всё это до времени.

25 And he shall stir up5782 his power3581 and his courage3824 against5921 the king4428 of the south5045 with a great1419 army;2428 and the king4428 of the south5045 shall be stirred up1624 to battle4421 with a very5704 3966 great1419 and mighty6099 army;2428 but he shall not3808 stand:5975 for3588 they shall forecast2803 devices4284 against5921 him.

25 Соберет он все свои силы, преисполнится решимости и поведет огромное войско против царя южного. Царь южный также выйдет на войну с огромным и очень сильным войском, однако из-за козней, ему устроенных, устоять не сможет.

26 Yea, they that feed398 of the portion of his meat6598 shall destroy7665 him, and his army2428 shall overflow:7857 and many7227 shall fall down5307 slain.2491

26 Те, кто с ним разделял трапезу, погубят его, и растечется его войско, как вода, потеряв на полях многих убитыми.

27 And both8147 these kings'4428 hearts3824 shall be to do mischief,4827 and they shall speak1696 lies3577 at5921 one259 table;7979 but it shall not3808 prosper:6743 for3588 yet5750 the end7093 shall be at the time appointed.4150

27 Оба эти царя будут вынашивать злобу и лгать друг другу даже сидя за одним столом, но желаемого не достигнут — положен будет тому предел в назначенный срок.

28 Then shall he return7725 into his land776 with great1419 riches;7399 and his heart3824 shall be against5921 the holy6944 covenant;1285 and he shall do6213 exploits, and return7725 to his own land.776

28 Возвращаясь в свою страну с великим богатством, царь северный затаит в своем сердце ненависть к святому завету. Но он сделает то, что задумал, и вернется в свою землю.

29 At the time appointed4150 he shall return,7725 and come935 toward the south;5045 but it shall not3808 be1961 as the former,7223 or as the latter.314

29 В назначенное время вновь пойдет он на юг, но последний его поход не будет таков, как прежний.

30 For the ships6716 of Chittim3794 shall come935 against him: therefore he shall be grieved,3512 and return,7725 and have indignation2194 against5921 the holy6944 covenant:1285 so shall he do;6213 he shall even return,7725 and have intelligence995 with5921 them that forsake5800 the holy6944 covenant.1285

30 Выйдут против него корабли Киттима — и он, упав духом, повернет назад и направит свою ярость на святой завет. Вернувшись домой, начнет царь северный выказывать расположение тем, кто отступил от святого завета.

31 And arms2220 shall stand5975 on his part,4480 and they shall pollute2490 the sanctuary4720 of strength,4581 and shall take away5493 the daily8548 sacrifice, and they shall place5414 the abomination8251 that maketh desolate.8074

31 Силы, ему подвластные, будут осквернять Святилище — данное Богом прибежище. Они упразднят ежедневное священнодействие и будут насаждать ту мерзость, что приводит к запустению.

32 And such as do wickedly against7561 the covenant1285 shall he corrupt2610 by flatteries:2514 but the people5971 that do know3045 their God430 shall be strong,2388 and do6213 exploits.

32 Тех, кто нарушил завет, царь северный совратит своими льстивыми речами, но люди, которые чтут Бога своего, решительно восстанут против него.

33 And they that understand7919 among the people5971 shall instruct995 many:7227 yet they shall fall3782 by the sword,2719 and by flame,3852 by captivity,7628 and by spoil,961 many days.3117

33 Мудрые будут учить многих, однако на время они станут жертвами гонений — меча и огня, тюрем и грабежей.

34 Now when they shall fall,3782 they shall be helped5826 with a little4592 help:5828 but many7227 shall cleave3867 to5921 them with flatteries.2519

34 Они не останутся без поддержки, когда будут изнемогать, но многие присоединятся к ним только для вида.

35 And some of4480 them of understanding7919 shall fall,3782 to try6884 them, and to purge,1305 and to make them white,3835 even to5704 the time6256 of the end:7093 because3588 it is yet5750 for a time appointed.4150

35 Из мудрых иные падут: они тоже должны быть испытаны, облагорожены и очищены — быть тому до срока, до времени конца, который наступит в свой час.

36 And the king4428 shall do6213 according to his will;7522 and he shall exalt himself,7311 and magnify himself1431 above5921 every3605 god,410 and shall speak1696 marvelous things6381 against5921 the God410 of gods,410 and shall prosper6743 till5704 the indignation2195 be accomplished:3615 for3588 that that is determined2782 shall be done.6213

36 А царь будет действовать по своему произволу, будет превозносить и возвеличивать себя превыше всякого божества и о Боге богов говорить с неслыханной дерзостью. Он будет преуспевать, пока не переполнится чаша Божьего терпения (что предрешено, то должно исполниться).

37 Neither shall he regard5921 3808 995 the God430 of his fathers,1 nor the desire2532 of women,802 nor regard any3605 3808 995 god:433 for3588 he shall magnify himself1431 above5921 all.3605

37 Не посчитается он ни с Богом отцов своих, ни с божеством, желанным для женщин: превознесется над всем, потому что любое божество для него — ничто.

38 But in5921 his estate3653 shall he honor3513 the God433 of forces:4581 and a god433 whom834 his fathers1 knew3045 not3808 shall he honor3513 with gold,2091 and silver,3701 and with precious3368 stones,68 and pleasant things.2530

38 Вместо этих богов он будет воздавать почести богу силы: праотцы его не признавали этого бога, а он будет чествовать его золотом и серебром, драгоценными камнями и богатыми дарами.

39 Thus shall he do6213 in the most strong holds4013 4581 with5973 a strange5236 god,433 whom834 he shall acknowledge5234 and increase7235 with glory:3519 and he shall cause them to rule4910 over many,7227 and shall divide2505 the land127 for gain.4242

39 И укреплять он будет свои самые мощные крепости, поклоняясь этому чужому божеству. Признавшим же его за властителя он воздаст великие почести, наделит властью над многими и наградит землями.

40 And at the time6256 of the end7093 shall the king4428 of the south5045 push5055 at5973 him: and the king4428 of the north6828 shall come against him like a whirlwind,8175 5921 with chariots,7393 and with horsemen,6571 and with many7227 ships;591 and he shall enter935 into the countries,776 and shall overflow7857 and pass over.5674

40 Когда придет время конца, царь южный пойдет войной на царя северного. Но царь северный устремится на него, как буря, с колесницами, всадниками и множеством кораблей; вторгшись в его земли, он наводнит их, как разлившаяся река, и пройдет через них.

41 He shall enter935 also into the glorious6643 land,776 and many7227 countries shall be overthrown:3782 but these428 shall escape4422 out of his hand,4480 3027 even Edom,123 and Moab,4124 and the chief7225 of the children1121 of Ammon.5983

41 Войдет и в Прекрасную Землю, и десятки тысяч станут его жертвами; избегнут той участи только Эдом, Моав и цвет сынов Аммона.

42 He shall stretch forth7971 his hand3027 also upon the countries:776 and the land776 of Egypt4714 shall not3808 escape.1961 6413

42 И когда он станет захватывать одну страну за другой, не спасется и Египет

43 But he shall have power4910 over the treasures4362 of gold2091 and of silver,3701 and over all3605 the precious things2530 of Egypt:4714 and the Libyans3864 and the Ethiopians3569 shall be at his steps.4703

43 царь северный завладеет сокровищами Египта: золотом, серебром и разными драгоценностями; покорно последуют за ним ливийцы и нубийцы.

44 But tidings8052 out of the east4480 4217 and out of the north4480 6828 shall trouble926 him: therefore he shall go forth3318 with great1419 fury2534 to destroy,8045 and utterly to make away2763 many.7227

44 Но слухи с востока и севера встревожат царя, и он в сильнейшей ярости выйдет уничтожать и губить многих.

45 And he shall plant5193 the tabernacles168 of his palace643 between996 the seas3220 in the glorious6643 holy6944 mountain;2022 yet he shall come935 to5704 his end,7093 and none369 shall help5826 him.

45 Раскинет он шатры свои царские между морем и прекрасной Святой горой, но ему придет конец — и никто ему уже не поможет.
