4 Let mine outcasts5080 dwell1481 with thee, Moab;4124 be1933 thou a covert5643 to them from the face44806440 of the spoiler:7703 for3588 the extortioner4160 is at an end,656 the spoiler7701 ceaseth,3615 the oppressors7429 are consumed8552 out of4480 the land.776
5 And in mercy2617 shall the throne3678 be established:3559 and he shall sit3427 upon5921 it in truth571 in the tabernacle168 of David,1732 judging,8199 and seeking1875 judgment,4941 and hasting4106 righteousness.6664
6 We have heard8085 of the pride1347 of Moab;4124he is very3966 proud:1341even of his haughtiness,1346 and his pride,1347 and his wrath:5678but his lies907shall not3808be so.3651
7 Therefore3651 shall Moab4124 howl3213 for Moab,4124 every one3605 shall howl:3213 for the foundations808 of Kir-hareseth7025 shall ye mourn;1897 surely389they are stricken.5218
8 For3588 the fields7709 of Heshbon2809 languish,535and the vine1612 of Sibmah:7643 the lords1167 of the heathen1471 have broken down1986 the principal plants8291 thereof, they are come5060even unto5704 Jazer,3270 they wandered8582through the wilderness:4057 her branches7976 are stretched out,5203 they are gone over5674 the sea.3220

2 Птенцам трепещущим, что выпали из гнезда, подобны дочери Моава у бродов Арнона.
3 «Не откажите в совете, примите о нас решение: в ясный полдень укройте тенью темной, как ночь, спрячьте изгнанников, не выдавайте скитальцев.
4 Пусть поживут у вас пришлые беженцы Моава, укройте их в своих шатрахот притеснителя!» Но когда исчезнет угнетавший, тогда прекратится насилие, не станет тех, кто землю попирал.
5 Тогда престол утвердится верностью, и воссядет в шатре Давидовом судия, что ревнует о справедливости и суд творит скорый и правый.
6 Слыхали мы о высокомерии Моава. До чего же он гордится собой! Но заносчивость его, гордыня и надменность — всё одна похвальба пустая.
7 Потому и рыдает Моав о себе — весь он ныне скорбит! Где же сладости, лепешки виноградные из Кир-Харесета? Увы, лишь стоны изнуренных…
8 Оскудели поля Хешбона; виноградники Сивмы погибли, а ведь когда-то они валили с ног вождей народов! Их отборные лозы достигали Язера, побеги пробивались в пустыню, разрастались, за море тянулись.
9 Вместе с Язером горевать буду о виноградниках Сивмы; вас, Хешбон и Эляле, орошу слезами своими: угасло веселье, царившее при сборе плодов и в дни жатвы.
10 Ликованье исчезло и радость на земле, что была столь плодородной; в виноградниках смолкли песни, не слышно криков радости; не топчут винограда в давильнях, положил Я конец празднику виноградарей.
11 Стонет сердце Мое о Моаве, как лира, о Кир-Харесете душа рыдает.
12 Взойдет Моав на высоты для поклонения идолам своим, но лишь изнурит себя понапрасну, тщетно будет молиться в святилищах своих.
13 Таково слово о Моаве, которое ГОСПОДЬ прежде изрек,
14 но ныне Он говорит: «Пройдет ровно три года, день в день, и падет слава Моава; исчезнет весь многочисленный народ его, выживут лишь немногие и мало что останется от силы его былой».
