Chapter 17

1 The sin2403 of Judah3063 is written3789 with a pen5842 of iron,1270 and with the point6856 of a diamond:8068 it is graven2790 upon5921 the table3871 of their heart,3820 and upon the horns7161 of your altars;4196

2 Whilst their children1121 remember2142 their altars4196 and their groves842 by5921 the green7488 trees6086 upon5921 the high1364 hills.1389

3 O my mountain2042 in the field,7704 I will give5414 thy substance2428 and all3605 thy treasures214 to the spoil,957 and thy high places1116 for sin,2403 throughout all3605 thy borders.1366

4 And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue8058 from thine heritage4480 5159 that834 I gave5414 thee; and I will cause thee to serve5647 853 thine enemies341 in the land776 which834 thou knowest3045 not:3808 for3588 ye have kindled6919 a fire784 in mine anger,639 which shall burn3344 forever.5704 5769

5 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD;3068 Cursed779 be the man1397 that834 trusteth982 in man,120 and maketh7760 flesh1320 his arm,2220 and whose heart3820 departeth5493 from4480 the LORD.3068

6 For he shall be1961 like the heath6176 in the desert,6160 and shall not3808 see7200 when3588 good2896 cometh;935 but shall inhabit7931 the parched places2788 in the wilderness,4057 in a salt4420 land776 and not3808 inhabited.3427

7 Blessed1288 is the man1397 that834 trusteth982 in the LORD,3068 and whose hope4009 the LORD3068 is.1961

8 For he shall be1961 as a tree6086 planted8362 by5921 the waters,4325 and that spreadeth out7971 her roots8328 by5921 the river,3105 and shall not3808 see7200 when3588 heat2527 cometh,935 but her leaf5929 shall be1961 green;7488 and shall not3808 be careful1672 in the year8141 of drought,1226 neither3808 shall cease4185 from yielding4480 6213 fruit.6529

9 The heart3820 is deceitful6121 above all4480 3605 things, and desperately wicked:605 who4310 can know3045 it?

10 I589 the LORD3068 search2713 the heart,3820 I try974 the reins,3629 even to give5414 every man376 according to his ways,1870 and according to the fruit6529 of his doings.4611

11 As the partridge7124 sitteth1716 on eggs, and hatcheth3205 them not;3808 so he that getteth6213 riches,6239 and not3808 by right,4941 shall leave5800 them in the midst2677 of his days,3117 and at his end319 shall be1961 a fool.5036

12 A glorious3519 high4791 throne3678 from the beginning4480 7223 is the place4725 of our sanctuary.4720

13 O LORD,3068 the hope4723 of Israel,3478 all3605 that forsake5800 thee shall be ashamed,954 and they that depart from3249 me shall be written3789 in the earth,776 because3588 they have forsaken5800 853 the LORD,3068 the fountain4726 of living2416 waters.4325

14 Heal7495 me, O LORD,3068 and I shall be healed;7495 save3467 me, and I shall be saved:3467 for3588 thou859 art my praise.8416

15 Behold,2009 they1992 say559 unto413 me, Where346 is the word1697 of the LORD?3068 let it come935 now.4994

16 As for me, I589 have not3808 hastened213 from being a pastor4480 7462 to follow310 thee: neither3808 have I desired183 the woeful605 day;3117 thou859 knowest:3045 that which came4161 out of6440 my lips8193 was1961 right before5227 6440 thee.

17 Be1961 not408 a terror4288 unto me: thou859 art my hope4268 in the day3117 of evil.7451

18 Let them be confounded954 that persecute7291 me, but let not408 me589 be confounded:954 let them1992 be dismayed,2865 but let not408 me589 be dismayed:2865 bring935 upon5921 them the day3117 of evil,7451 and destroy7665 them with double4932 destruction.7670

19 Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 unto413 me; Go1980 and stand5975 in the gate8179 of the children1121 of the people,5971 whereby834 the kings4428 of Judah3063 come in,935 and by the which834 they go out,3318 and in all3605 the gates8179 of Jerusalem;3389

21 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD;3068 Take heed8104 to yourselves,5315 and bear5375 no408 burden4853 on the sabbath7676 day,3117 nor bring it in935 by the gates8179 of Jerusalem;3389

22 Neither3808 carry forth3318 a burden4853 out of your houses4480 1004 on the sabbath7676 day,3117 neither3808 do6213 ye any3605 work,4399 but hallow6942 ye853 the sabbath7676 day,3117 as834 I commanded6680 your fathers.1

23 But they obeyed8085 not,3808 neither3808 inclined5186 853 their ear,241 but made853 their neck6203 stiff,7185 that they might not1115 hear,8085 nor1115 receive3947 instruction.4148

24 And it shall come to pass,1961 if518 ye diligently hearken8085 8085 unto413 me, saith5002 the LORD,3068 to bring in935 no1115 burden4853 through the gates8179 of this2063 city5892 on the sabbath7676 day,3117 but hallow6942 853 the sabbath7676 day,3117 to do6213 no1115 3605 work4399 therein;

25 Then shall there enter935 into the gates8179 of this2063 city5892 kings4428 and princes8269 sitting3427 upon5921 the throne3678 of David,1732 riding7392 in chariots7393 and on horses,5483 they,1992 and their princes,8269 the men376 of Judah,3063 and the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem:3389 and this2063 city5892 shall remain3427 forever.5769

26 And they shall come935 from the cities4480 5892 of Judah,3063 and from the places about4480 5439 Jerusalem,3389 and from the land4480 776 of Benjamin,1144 and from4480 the plain,8219 and from4480 the mountains,2022 and from4480 the south,5045 bringing935 burnt offerings,5930 and sacrifices,2077 and meat offerings,4503 and incense,3828 and bringing935 sacrifices of praise,8426 unto the house1004 of the LORD.3068

27 But if518 ye will not3808 hearken8085 unto413 me to hallow6942 853 the sabbath7676 day,3117 and not1115 to bear5375 a burden,4853 even entering935 in at the gates8179 of Jerusalem3389 on the sabbath7676 day;3117 then will I kindle3341 a fire784 in the gates8179 thereof, and it shall devour398 the palaces759 of Jerusalem,3389 and it shall not3808 be quenched.3518

3 в горах и в открытом поле. Богат народ Иудеи, но Я отдам ваши сокровища на расхищение, и вместе с ними будут уничтожены все высоты, где вы, поклоняясь, грешили.

4 Вы потеряете землю, Мной отданную вам. Я вашим врагам позволю забрать вас в рабство в землю, которой вы никогда не знали. Потому что Мой гнев как горящее пламя, в котором вы сгорите навеки».

5 Господь говорит: «Беда случится с теми, кто полагается лишь на других людей и на их силу, потому что они перестали верить в Бога.

6 Они подобны кустам в пустыне, в горячей и сухой земле, где никто не живёт. Эти кусты не знают тех благ, которые может дать Бог.

7 Но благословен будет тот, кто в Господа верит. Он узнает, что Бог всегда обещанное исполнит.

8 Тот человек будет сильным, словно дерево возле потока, чьи корни находят воду. То дерево не боится засухи, а его листья всегда зелены, его не беспокоит, если целый год нет дождей, оно всегда плодоносит.

9 Ничто не способно скрыть зло искуснее человеческого разума. Порою испорчен он, и до конца его никто не понимает.

10 Но Я, Господь, способен заглянуть в сердца людей и разум испытать, чтобы решить, чего они достойны, и по заслугам воздать любому.

11 Иногда случается, что одна птица высиживает яйца другой птицы. Кто ради денег обманывает, тот ведёт себя подобно этой птице, но не прожив и половины жизни, он потеряет все деньги, и в конце своих дней всем станет очевидна его глупость».

12 Наш храм с самого начала был троном Божьей славы, самым святым местом.

13 Господь, Ты — надежда Израиля, поток живительных вод, и кто от Тебя отступится, тот долго не проживёт.

14 Господи, если Ты меня исцелишь, я исцелюсь воистину; спаси меня, Господи, и воистину я буду спасён! Господи, восхваляю Тебя!

15 Продолжает меня спрашивать народ Иудеи: «Иеремия, где Господние вести? Дай нам своими глазами увидеть, что слова Его сбылись».

16 Я не бежал от Тебя, Господи, всегда за Тобою следовал, стал пастухом, как Ты того хотел, я не желал, чтоб страшный день пришёл. Господи, Ты же знаешь всё, что я говорил, Ты видишь всё, что творится.

17 Не дай мне устрашиться Тебя, Господи, ведь в несчастье Ты мне надежда.

18 Мне люди причиняют боль, но заставь их, Господь, устыдиться, меня не разочаруй. Пусть они испугаются, но мне не дай страх испытать; пошли на врагов несчастья и сокруши их снова и снова.

19 Господь мне сказал: «Пойди и встань у Народных ворот Иерусалима, где находится вход и выход для царей. Передай Мою весть людям, а после этого иди к другим воротам Иерусалима и повтори эту весть.

20 Скажи им так: „Слушайте весть Господа, слушайте, цари Иудеи, слушайте, все люди Иудеи и все, кто входят в Иерусалим через эти ворота, слушайте все меня!

21 Господь говорит вам: „Запомните, не носите ношу в субботний день через ворота Иерусалима.

22 И не выносите ношу из своих домов в субботний день, не делайте никакой работы в этот день. Вы должны сделать этот день святым, как Я повелел вашим предкам.

23 Однако ваши предки Мне не подчинились и не обращали внимания на Меня, они были упрямы, и поэтому Я наказал их, но они всё равно не приняли Моих наставлений.

24 Вы должны неукоснительно подчиняться Мне, — сказал Господь, — вы не должны проносить ношу через ворота Иерусалима по субботам. Вы должны сделать этот день святым и не совершать никакой работы в этот день.

25 Если вы подчинитесь этому повелению, то цари, сидящие на троне Давида, проедут через ворота Иерусалима на колесницах и на конях, а правители Иудеи будут с ними, и город Иерусалим будет вечен.

26 Изо всех городов Иудеи и из маленьких деревень придут в Иерусалим люди: из семьи Вениамина, из западных предгорий, со всех холмов, из Негева, и все они принесут различные дары, жертвы всесожжения, зерно, благовонное курение и приношения благодарности в храм Господний.

27 Но если вы не послушаете Меня и Мне не подчинитесь, если внесёте ношу в Иерусалим в субботу, не соблюдая святого дня, то Я разожгу в воротах Иерусалима негасимый огонь, который будет гореть, пока не сожжёт все дворцы Иерусалима”».

7 Но благословен будет тот, кто в Господа верит. Он узнает, что Бог всегда обещанное исполнит.

8 Тот человек будет сильным, словно дерево возле потока, чьи корни находят воду. То дерево не боится засухи, а его листья всегда зелены, его не беспокоит, если целый год нет дождей, оно всегда плодоносит.

9 Ничто не способно скрыть зло искуснее человеческого разума. Порою испорчен он, и до конца его никто не понимает.

10 Но Я, Господь, способен заглянуть в сердца людей и разум испытать, чтобы решить, чего они достойны, и по заслугам воздать любому.

11 Иногда случается, что одна птица высиживает яйца другой птицы. Кто ради денег обманывает, тот ведёт себя подобно этой птице, но не прожив и половины жизни, он потеряет все деньги, и в конце своих дней всем станет очевидна его глупость».

12 A glorious3519 high4791 throne3678 from the beginning4480 7223 is the place4725 of our sanctuary.4720

12 Наш храм с самого начала был троном Божьей славы, самым святым местом.

13 Господь, Ты — надежда Израиля, поток живительных вод, и кто от Тебя отступится, тот долго не проживёт.

14 Heal7495 me, O LORD,3068 and I shall be healed;7495 save3467 me, and I shall be saved:3467 for3588 thou859 art my praise.8416

14 Господи, если Ты меня исцелишь, я исцелюсь воистину; спаси меня, Господи, и воистину я буду спасён! Господи, восхваляю Тебя!

15 Продолжает меня спрашивать народ Иудеи: «Иеремия, где Господние вести? Дай нам своими глазами увидеть, что слова Его сбылись».

16 As for me, I589 have not3808 hastened213 from being a pastor4480 7462 to follow310 thee: neither3808 have I desired183 the woeful605 day;3117 thou859 knowest:3045 that which came4161 out of6440 my lips8193 was1961 right before5227 6440 thee.

16 Я не бежал от Тебя, Господи, всегда за Тобою следовал, стал пастухом, как Ты того хотел, я не желал, чтоб страшный день пришёл. Господи, Ты же знаешь всё, что я говорил, Ты видишь всё, что творится.

17 Be1961 not408 a terror4288 unto me: thou859 art my hope4268 in the day3117 of evil.7451

17 Не дай мне устрашиться Тебя, Господи, ведь в несчастье Ты мне надежда.

19 Господь мне сказал: «Пойди и встань у Народных ворот Иерусалима, где находится вход и выход для царей. Передай Мою весть людям, а после этого иди к другим воротам Иерусалима и повтори эту весть.

20 And say559 unto413 them, Hear8085 ye the word1697 of the LORD,3068 ye kings4428 of Judah,3063 and all3605 Judah,3063 and all3605 the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem,3389 that enter in935 by these428 gates: 8179

20 Скажи им так: „Слушайте весть Господа, слушайте, цари Иудеи, слушайте, все люди Иудеи и все, кто входят в Иерусалим через эти ворота, слушайте все меня!

21 Господь говорит вам: „Запомните, не носите ношу в субботний день через ворота Иерусалима.

22 И не выносите ношу из своих домов в субботний день, не делайте никакой работы в этот день. Вы должны сделать этот день святым, как Я повелел вашим предкам.

23 Однако ваши предки Мне не подчинились и не обращали внимания на Меня, они были упрямы, и поэтому Я наказал их, но они всё равно не приняли Моих наставлений.

24 Вы должны неукоснительно подчиняться Мне, — сказал Господь, — вы не должны проносить ношу через ворота Иерусалима по субботам. Вы должны сделать этот день святым и не совершать никакой работы в этот день.

25 Then shall there enter935 into the gates8179 of this2063 city5892 kings4428 and princes8269 sitting3427 upon5921 the throne3678 of David,1732 riding7392 in chariots7393 and on horses,5483 they,1992 and their princes,8269 the men376 of Judah,3063 and the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem:3389 and this2063 city5892 shall remain3427 forever.5769

25 Если вы подчинитесь этому повелению, то цари, сидящие на троне Давида, проедут через ворота Иерусалима на колесницах и на конях, а правители Иудеи будут с ними, и город Иерусалим будет вечен.

26 Изо всех городов Иудеи и из маленьких деревень придут в Иерусалим люди: из семьи Вениамина, из западных предгорий, со всех холмов, из Негева, и все они принесут различные дары, жертвы всесожжения, зерно, благовонное курение и приношения благодарности в храм Господний.
