1 THE heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork. |
|
2 Day after day utters speech, and night after night shows knowledge. |
|
3 There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. |
|
4 Their good news has gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. He has set his tabernacle in the sun among them. |
|
5 And he is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoices as a strong man to run a race. |
|
6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends thereof; and there is nothing hid from the mist of his breath. |
|
7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the LORD is trustworthy, making wise the young men. |
|
8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. |
|
9 The reverence of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever; the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. |
|
10 They are more to be coveted than gold; yea, than precious stones; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. |
|
11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned; and if he keep them he shall be greatly rewarded. |
|
12 Who can understand stumblings? Cleanse thou me from secret faults. |
|
13 Spare thy servant also from presumptuous sins, lest the evil ones have dominion over me; then shall I be cleansed from my sins. |
|
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my helper and my Saviour. |

2 В день недолі озве́ться до тебе Госпо́дь, Ім'я́ Бога Якового зробить си́льним тебе! |
|
3 Він пошле тобі по́міч із святині, і з Сіону тебе підіпре́! |
|
4 Усі жертви твої пам'ятати Він буде, і буде вважати твоє цілопа́лення ситим. Се́ла. |
|
5 Він дасть тобі, як твоє серце бажає, і ви́повнить ці́лий твій за́дум! |
|
6 Ми бу́дем радіти спасі́нням Твоїм, і піді́ймемо пра́пор в Ім'я́ Бога нашого, — нехай Господь виконає всі проха́ння твої! |
|
7 Тепер я пізнав, що спасає Господь помаза́нця Свого́, дає йому ві́дповідь з неба святого Свого́ могу́тніми чи́нами помічно́ї прави́ці Своєї. |
|
8 Одні колесни́цями хва́ляться, а інші кі́ньми, а ми бу́дем хвалитись Ім'я́м Господа, нашого Бога: |
|
9 вони похилились і впали, а ми стоїмо́ та росте́мо на силах! |
|
10 Господи, спаси! Хай озве́ться нам Цар у день нашого кли́кання! |

2 В день недолі озве́ться до тебе Госпо́дь, Ім'я́ Бога Якового зробить си́льним тебе! |
