2 And Job347 spoke,6030 and said,559

3 Let the day3117 perish6 wherein I was born,3205 and the night3915 in which it was said,559 There is a man1397 child conceived.2029

4 Let that day3117 be darkness;2822 let not God433 regard1875 it from above,4605 neither408 let the light5105 shine3313 on it.

5 Let darkness2822 and the shadow6757 of death6757 stain1351 it; let a cloud6053 dwell7931 on it; let the blackness3650 of the day3117 terrify1204 it.

5 何如幽暗蔭翳蔽之、靉靆覆之、日蝕譴之、

6 何如是日之夕慘淡昏黑、不入年期、不進月數。

7 何如是夕不誕嬰孩、不聞懽聲。

8 凡能詛日、持咒招鱷者、當以是日爲不吉。

9 何如是日味爽、明星不現、待旦不得、天無曙色。

11 日母氏育我、致遭艱苦、毋寧墮胎而死、卽不然、誕而身死氣絕。

12 母曷提攜我、乳哺我。

13 浸假當時無生、我今可宴然安寢、

14 國王議士、當年所築之陵墓、而今安在。元戎巨富、金銀充棟、而今烏有、我欲與之同歸於盡。

15 併於上節

16 我願與胎未成人、產不及期者、胥歸無有、

17 在彼爭競者息、困憊者安。

18 幽囚之人寢、不聞惡聲、

19 在彼尊卑同居、僕不虐於主、

20 受難者得生存、苦心者得生全、曷故。

21 彼望死亡、而不能、猶人掘窖金而弗得。

22 彼就死地、則欣喜、歡樂不勝。

23 彼在困厄中、爲上帝所域反使之生、何與。

24 我未食而先嘆聲、等波濤之洶湧、

25 所慮所懼者、降臨於我。

26 不得平康、不得安居、不得宴息、戰慄復至。
