1 Da aber Jakob3290 sah7200, daß Getreide7668 in Ägypten4714 feil war3426, sprach559 er zu seinen Söhnen1121: Was sehet ihr7200 euch lange um?

2 And he said,559 Behold,2009 I have heard8085 that3588 there is3426 corn7668 in Egypt:4714 get you down3381 thither,8033 and buy7666 for us from thence;4480 8033 that we may live,2421 and not3808 die.4191
|
2 Siehe, ich559 höre, es sei3426 in Ägypten4714 Getreide7668 feil; ziehet hinab3381 und kaufet7666 uns8085 Getreide, daß wir2421 leben und nicht sterben4191.

3 And Joseph's3130 ten6235 brethren251 went down3381 to buy7666 corn1250 in Egypt.4480 4714

3 Also zogen hinab3381 zehn6235 Brüder251 Josephs3130, daß sie in Ägypten4714 Getreide1250 kauften7666.

|
4 But Benjamin,1144 Joseph's3130 brother,251 Jacob3290 sent7971 not3808 with854 his brethren;251 for3588 he said,559 Lest peradventure6435 mischief611 befall7122 him.
|
4 Aber Benjamin1144, Josephs3130 Bruder251, ließ7971 Jakob3290 nicht mit seinen Brüdern251 ziehen; denn er sprach559: Es möchte6435 ihm ein Unfall611 begegnen7122.

5 And the sons1121 of Israel3478 came935 to buy7666 corn among8432 those that came:935 for3588 the famine7458 was1961 in the land776 of Canaan.3667

5 Also kamen935 die Kinder1121 Israels3478, Getreide zu kaufen7666, samt8432 andern, die mit ihnen zogen, denn es war935 im Lande776 Kanaan3667 auch teuer7458.

6 And Joseph3130 was the governor7989 over5921 the land,776 and he1931 it was that sold7666 to all3605 the people5971 of the land:776 and Joseph's3130 brethren251 came,935 and bowed down themselves7812 before him with their faces639 to the earth.776
|
6 Aber Joseph3130 war der Regent7989 im Lande776 und3130 verkaufte7666 Getreide allem Volk5971 im Lande776. Da nun seine Brüder251 zu ihm kamen935, fielen sie vor ihm nieder7812 zur Erde776 auf ihr Antlitz639.

7 And Joseph3130 saw7200 853 his brethren,251 and he knew5234 them, but made himself strange5234 unto413 them, and spoke1696 roughly7186 unto854 them; and he said559 unto413 them, Whence4480 370 come935 ye? And they said,559 From the land4480 776 of Canaan3667 to buy7666 food.400

7 Und er3130 sah7200 sie251 an und kannte5234 sie; und stellete sich fremd5234 gegen sie und redete1696 hart7186 mit ihnen und sprach559 zu ihnen: Woher370 kommt935 ihr? Sie sprachen559: Aus dem Lande776 Kanaan3667, Speise400 zu kaufen7666.

8 And Joseph3130 knew5234 853 his brethren,251 but they1992 knew5234 not3808 him.

8 Aber wiewohl er sie251 kannte5234, kannten sie ihn3130 doch nicht5234.

9 And Joseph3130 remembered2142 853 the dreams2472 which834 he dreamed2492 of them, and said559 unto413 them, Ye859 are spies;7270 to see7200 853 the nakedness6172 of the land776 ye are come.935
|
9 Und Joseph3130 gedachte2142 an7200 die Träume2472, die ihm von ihnen geträumet hatten2492, und sprach559 zu ihnen: Ihr, seid Kundschafter7270 und seid kommen zu sehen, wo das Land776 offen6172 ist935.

10 And they said559 unto413 him, Nay,3808 my lord,113 but to buy7666 food400 are thy servants5650 come.935
|
10 Sie559 antworteten ihm: Nein, mein Herr113; deine Knechte5650 sind935 kommen, Speise400 zu kaufen7666.
|
|
11 We5168 are all3605 one259 man's376 sons;1121 we587 are true3651 men, thy servants5650 are1961 no3808 spies.7270
|
11 Wir5168 sind alle eines259 Mannes376 Söhne1121; wir sind redlich3651; und deine Knechte5650 sind nie Kundschafter7270 gewesen.

|
12 And he said559 unto413 them, Nay,3808 but3588 to see7200 the nakedness6172 of the land776 ye are come.935
|
12 Er sprach559 zu ihnen: Nein, sondern ihr seid kommen935 zu besehen, wo das Land776 offen6172 ist7200.
|
|
13 And they said,559 Thy servants5650 are twelve8147 6240 brethren,251 the sons1121 of one259 man376 in the land776 of Canaan;3667 and, behold,2009 the youngest6996 is this day3117 with854 our father,1 and one259 is not.369
|
13 Sie559 antworteten ihm: Wir, deine Knechte5650, sind zwölf6240 Brüder251, eines259 Mannes376 Söhne1121 im Lande776 Kanaan3667, und der jüngste6996 ist noch3117 bei unserm Vater1; aber der eine259 ist nicht mehr vorhanden.

14 And Joseph3130 said559 unto413 them, That1931 is it that834 I spoke1696 unto413 you, saying,559 Ye859 are spies: 7270

14 Joseph3130 sprach559 zu ihnen: Das ist‘s, das ich euch gesagt559 habe1696: Kundschafter7270 seid ihr.

|
15 Hereby2063 ye shall be proved:974 By the life2416 of Pharaoh6547 ye shall not go forth3318 hence,4480 2088 except3588 518 your youngest6996 brother251 come935 hither.2008
|
15 Daran2063 will935 ich euch prüfen974: bei dem Leben2416 Pharaos6547, ihr sollt nicht von dannen kommen3318, es komme denn her euer jüngster6996 Bruder251.
|
|
16 Send7971 one259 of4480 you, and let him fetch3947 853 your brother,251 and ye859 shall be kept in prison,631 that your words1697 may be proved,974 whether there be any truth571 in854 you: or else518 3808 by the life2416 of Pharaoh6547 surely3588 ye859 are spies.7270
|
16 Sendet7971 einen259 unter euch hin, der euren Bruder251 hole3947; ihr aber sollt gefangen631 sein. Also will ich prüfen974 eure Rede1697, ob ihr mit854 Wahrheit571 umgehet oder nicht3808. Denn wo nicht, so seid ihr, bei dem Leben2416 Pharaos6547, Kundschafter7270.

17 And he put them all together622 853 into413 ward4929 three7969 days.3117

17 Und ließ622 sie beisammen verwahren4929 drei7969 Tage3117 lang.

18 And Joseph3130 said559 unto413 them the third7992 day,3117 This2063 do,6213 and live;2421 for I589 fear3373 853 God: 430
|
18 Am dritten7992 Tage3117 aber sprach559 er3130 zu6213 ihnen: Wollt ihr leben2421, so tut also; denn ich fürchte3373 GOtt430.

19 If518 ye859 be true3651 men, let one259 of your brethren251 be bound631 in the house1004 of your prison:4929 go1980 ye,859 carry935 corn7668 for the famine7459 of your houses: 1004
|
19 Seid ihr redlich3651, so lasset eurer Brüder251 einen259 gebunden631 liegen in eurem Gefängnis4929; ihr aber ziehet hin3212 und1004 bringet935 heim1004, was ihr gekauft habt für den Hunger7459,
|
|
20 But bring935 your youngest6996 brother251 unto413 me; so shall your words1697 be verified,539 and ye shall not3808 die.4191 And they did6213 so.3651
|
20 und bringet euren jüngsten6996 Bruder251 zu6213 mir, so will935 ich euren Worten1697 glauben539, daß ihr nicht sterben4191 müsset. Und sie taten also.

21 And they said559 one376 to413 another,251 We587 are verily61 guilty818 concerning5921 our brother,251 in that834 we saw7200 the anguish6869 of his soul,5315 when he besought2603 413 us, and we would not3808 hear;8085 therefore5921 3651 is this2063 distress6869 come935 upon413 us.

21 Sie251 aber61 sprachen559 untereinander376: Das haben wir an7200 unserm Bruder251 verschuldet818, daß wir sahen die Angst6869 seiner See LE5315, da834 er uns8085 flehete, und wir wollten ihn nicht erhören; darum kommt935 nun diese Trübsal6869 über uns.

22 And Reuben7205 answered6030 them, saying,559 Spoke559 I not3808 unto413 you, saying,559 Do not408 sin2398 against the child;3206 and ye would not3808 hear?8085 therefore, behold,2009 also1571 his blood1818 is required.1875

22 Ruben7205 antwortete6030 ihnen und sprach559: Sagt‘ ich‘s559 euch2398 nicht, da ich sprach559: Versündiget euch nicht an dem Knaben3206, und ihr wolltet nicht hören8085? Nun wird sein Blut1818 gefordert1875.

23 And they1992 knew3045 not3808 that3588 Joseph3130 understood8085 them; for3588 he spoke unto996 them by an interpreter.3887
|
23 Sie8085 wußten3045 aber nicht, daß es Joseph3130 verstund; denn er redete mit ihnen durch einen Dolmetscher3887.
|
|
24 And he turned himself about5437 from4480 5921 them, and wept;1058 and returned7725 to413 them again, and communed1696 with413 them, and took3947 from4480 854 them853 Simeon,8095 and bound631 him before their eyes.5869
|
24 Und er wandte sich5437 von ihnen und weinete. Da er nun sich wieder7725 zu ihnen wandte und mit ihnen redete1696, nahm3947 er aus ihnen Simeon8095 und band631 ihn vor ihren Augen5869;
|
|
25 Then Joseph3130 commanded6680 to fill4390 853 their sacks3627 with corn,1250 and to restore7725 every man's376 money3701 into413 his sack,8242 and to give5414 them provision6720 for the way:1870 and thus3651 did6213 he unto them.
|
25 Und4390 Joseph3130 tat5414 Befehl6680, daß man ihre Säcke3627 mit Getreide1250 füllete und ihr Geld3701 wiedergäbe7725, einem jeglichen376 in seinen Sack8242, dazu auch Zehrung6720 auf den Weg1870. Und man tat6213 ihnen also3651.

26 And they laded5375 5921 their asses2543 with853 the corn,7668 and departed1980 thence.4480 8033

26 Und sie luden ihre Ware7668 auf5375 ihre Esel2543 und zogen3212 von dannen.
|
|
27 And as one259 of them opened6605 853 his sack8242 to give5414 his ass2543 provender4554 in the inn,4411 he espied7200 853 his money;3701 for, behold,2009 it1931 was in his sack's572 mouth.6310
|
27 Da aber einer259 seinen Sack8242 auftat6605, daß er seinem Esel2543 Futter4554 gäbe5414 in der Herberge4411, ward er gewahr7200 seines Geldes3701, das oben6310 im Sacke lag.
|
|
28 And he said559 unto413 his brethren,251 My money3701 is restored;7725 and, lo,2009 it is even1571 in my sack:572 and their heart3820 failed3318 them, and they were afraid,2729 saying559 one376 to413 another,251 What4100 is this2063 that God430 hath done6213 unto us?
|
28 Und sprach559 zu seinen Brüdern251: Mein Geld3701 ist mir wieder7725 worden; siehe2009, in meinem Sack572 ist es. Da entfiel3318 ihnen ihr Herz und erschraken2729 untereinander376 und sprachen559: Warum hat uns3820 GOtt430 das getan6213?

29 And they came935 unto413 Jacob3290 their father1 unto the land776 of Canaan,3667 and told5046 him853 all3605 that befell7136 unto them; saying,559
|
29 Da sie nun heimkamen zu ihrem Vater1 Jakob3290 ins Land776 Kanaan3667, sagten5046 sie ihm alles, was ihnen begegnet war935, und sprachen559:
|
|
30 The man,376 who is the lord113 of the land,776 spoke1696 roughly7186 to854 us, and took5414 us for spies7270 of853 the country.776
|
30 Der Mann376, der im Lande776 Herr113 ist, redete1696 hart7186 mit uns und hielt5414 uns für Kundschafter7270 des Landes776.
|
|
31 And we said559 unto413 him, We587 are true3651 men; we are1961 no3808 spies: 7270
|
31 Und da wir ihm antworteten559: Wir sind redlich3651 und nie Kundschafter7270 gewesen,
|
|
32 We587 be twelve8147 6240 brethren,251 sons1121 of our father;1 one259 is not,369 and the youngest6996 is this day3117 with854 our father1 in the land776 of Canaan.3667
|
32 sondern zwölf Brüder251, unsers Vaters1 Söhne1121; einer259 ist8147 nicht mehr vorhanden, und der jüngste6996 ist noch3117 bei unserm Vater1 im Lande776 Kanaan3667:
|
|
33 And the man,376 the lord113 of the country,776 said559 unto413 us, Hereby2063 shall I know3045 that3588 ye859 are true3651 men; leave5117 one259 of your brethren251 here with854 me, and take3947 food for the famine7459 of your households,1004 and be gone: 1980
|
33 sprach559 der Herr113 im Lande776 zu uns: Daran will3947 ich merken3045, ob ihr3240 redlich3651 seid: einen259 eurer Brüder251 lasset bei mir und376 nehmet die Notdurft7459 für euer Haus1004 und ziehet hin3212;
|
|
34 And bring935 853 your youngest6996 brother251 unto413 me: then shall I know3045 that3588 ye859 are no3808 spies,7270 but3588 that ye859 are true3651 men: so will I deliver5414 you853 your brother,251 and ye shall traffic5503 in the land.776
|
34 und bringet euren jüngsten6996 Bruder251 zu mir, so merke ich, daß ihr3045 nicht Kundschafter7270, sondern3651 redlich seid; so will935 ich euch auch euren Bruder251 geben5414, und möget im Lande776 werben5503.
|
|
35 And it came to pass1961 as they1992 emptied7324 their sacks,8242 that, behold,2009 every man's376 bundle6872 of money3701 was in his sack:8242 and when both they1992 and their father1 saw7200 853 the bundles6872 of money,3701 they were afraid.3372
|
35 Und da sie die Säcke8242 ausschütteten7324, fand ein376 jeglicher sein Bündlein6872 Geld3701 in seinem Sacke. Und da sie sahen7200, daß es Bündlein6872 ihres Geldes3701 waren, erschraken3372 sie samt ihrem Vater1.
|
|
36 And Jacob3290 their father1 said559 unto413 them, Me have ye bereaved7921 of my children: Joseph3130 is not,369 and Simeon8095 is not,369 and ye will take3947 Benjamin1144 away: all3605 these things are1961 against5921 me.
|
36 Da sprach559 Jakob3290, ihr Vater1, zu ihnen: Ihr beraubet mich meiner Kinder: Joseph3130 ist7921 nicht mehr vorhanden, Simeon8095 ist3947 nicht mehr vorhanden, Benjamin1144 wollt ihr hinnehmen; es gehet alles über mich.

37 And Reuben7205 spoke559 unto413 his father,1 saying,559 Slay4191 853 my two8147 sons,1121 if518 I bring935 him not3808 to413 thee: deliver5414 him into5921 my hand,3027 and I589 will bring7725 him to413 thee again.
|
37 Ruben7205 antwortete559 seinem Vater1 und sprach559: Wenn ich dir ihn nicht wiederbringe, so erwürge4191 meine zween Söhne1121; gib5414 ihn nur in meine Hand3027, ich will935 ihn dir wiederbringen7725.
|
|
38 And he said,559 My son1121 shall not3808 go down3381 with5973 you; for3588 his brother251 is dead,4191 and he1931 is left7604 alone:905 if mischief611 befall7122 him by the way1870 in the which834 ye go,1980 then shall ye bring down3381 853 my gray hairs7872 with sorrow3015 to the grave.7585
|
38 Er sprach559: Mein Sohn1121 soll nicht mit euch hinabziehen3381, denn sein Bruder251 ist7604 tot, und er ist allein überblieben; wenn ihm ein Unfall611 auf dem Wege1870 begegnete7122, da ihr auf reiset3212, würdet ihr meine grauen Haare7872 mit Herzeleid3015 in die3381 Grube7585 bringen4191.
