8 And1161 Crispus,2921 the3588 chief ruler of the synagogue,752 believed4100 on the3588 Lord2962 with4862 all3650 his848 house;3624 and2532 many4183 of the3588 Corinthians2881 hearing191 believed,4100 and2532 were baptized.907

9 Then1161 spake2036 the3588 Lord2962 to Paul3972 in1722 the night3571 by1223 a vision,3705 Be not afraid,5399 3361 but235 speak,2980 and2532 hold not thy peace: 4623 3361

25 This man3778 was2258 instructed2727 in the3588 way3598 of the3588 Lord;2962 and2532 being fervent2204 in the3588 spirit,4151 he spake2980 and2532 taught1321 diligently199 the things3588 of4012 the3588 Lord,2962 knowing1987 only3440 the3588 baptism908 of John.2491

26 And5037 he3778 began756 to speak boldly3955 in1722 the3588 synagogue:4864 1161 whom846 when Aquila207 and2532 Priscilla4252 had heard,191 they took him unto4355 846 them, and2532 expounded1620 unto him846 the3588 way3598 of God2316 more perfectly.197

3 и так как у него и у них было одинаковое ремесло (изготовление палаток), он остановился у них и вместе с ними работал.

4 Каждую субботу он беседовал в синагоге, стараясь обратить как иудеев, так и язычников.

5 Когда же из Македонии пришли Сила и Тимофей, Павел всецело посвятил свое время проповеди, свидетельствуя иудеям, что Иисус и есть Мессия.

6 Но когда они выступили против него и стали поносить его, он, отряхнув одежды, сказал им: «За участь свою в ответе вы сами! Теперь я с чистой совестью иду к язычникам».

7 И, покинув их, он перешел в соседний с синагогой дом принявшего иудаизм язычника по имени Титий Юст.

8 Крисп же, старейшина синагоги, уверовал в Господа, а с ним и все живущие в доме его. Многие из коринфян, услышав Павла, тоже приходили к вере и принимали крещение.

9 Однажды ночью Господь сказал Павлу в видении: «Не бойся, а говори, не умолкай,

10 ибо Я с тобою, и никто не нападет на тебя и зла тебе не причинит: в этом городе много Моих людей».

11 Так что Павел провел там полтора года и учил коринфян слову Божьему.

12 Но когда проконсулом Ахайи стал Галлион, иудеи, сговорившись, схватили Павла и привели его к проконсулу на суд.

13 Обвиняя его, они говорили: «Он совращает людей: учит их чтить Бога вопреки нашему Закону».

14 Павел хотел было возразить, но не успел произнести и слова, как Галлион заявил иудеям: «Послушайте, иудеи! Если бы речь шла о каком-то преступлении или злодеянии, стоило бы вас выслушать.

15 Но если идет спор о словах, именах и о вашем Законе, разбирайтесь сами. И в этом я вам не судья!»

16 И выгнал их.

17 А они все набросились на Сосфена, старейшину синагоги, и избили его прямо на глазах у Галлиона. Но тому не было до этого никакого дела.

18 Павел же оставался там долгое время, а затем, попрощавшись с братьями, вместе с Прискиллой и Акилой отплыл в Сирию. Перед отплытием, в Кенхреях, он остриг голову по данному им обету.

19 Они достигли Эфеса, и Павел оставил там Акилу и Прискиллу, а сам вошел в синагогу и беседовал с иудеями.

20 Его просили задержаться у них подольше, но он не согласился

21 и, прощаясь, сказал: «Мне непременно нужно провести наступающий праздник в Иерусалиме, но, если будет угодно Богу, я вернусь к вам», — и отплыл из Эфеса.

22 Сойдя на берег в Кесарии, он пошел в Иерусалим, навестил церковь и потом отправился в Антиохию.

23 Там он оставался некоторое время, а затем отправился в путь через Галатию и Фригию, ободряя по пути всех учеников.

24 В Эфес же прибыл некий иудей по имени Аполлос, родом из Александрии, человек красноречивый и сведущий в Писании.

25 Он был наставлен в учении, называемом «Путь Господень», и, полный духовной ревности, верно учил всему об Иисусе, хотя и знал лишь крещение Иоанна.

26 Он начал смело говорить в синагоге. Послушав его, Прискилла и Акила пригласили его к себе и обстоятельно изложили ему Путь [Божий].

25 Он был наставлен в учении, называемом «Путь Господень», и, полный духовной ревности, верно учил всему об Иисусе, хотя и знал лишь крещение Иоанна.
