Psalm 90

1 LORD, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.

2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

3 Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

5 The span of their life will be as a sleep; in the morning they are like grass which changes.

6 In the morning it flourishes and grows up; in the evening it is cut down and withers.

7 For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.

8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, the sins of our youth in the light of thy countenance.

9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath; we spend our years in emptiness.

10 The years of our lives are threescore and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet most of them are labor and sorrow; for life is soon cut off and we fly away.

11 Who knows the power of thine anger and the fear of thy wrath?

12 So teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.

13 Return, O LORD. How long? Wouldst thou not comfort thy servants?

14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

15 Make us glad because our wickedness is dead, and the years wherein we have seen affliction.

16 Let thy work appear to thy servants, and thy glory to their children.

17 And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us; for the work of his hands made us, yea, he made us by the work of his hands.

Песнь 90

1 Живущий под кровом Высочайшего в тени Всемогущего покоится,

2 говорит о Вечном: «Он – моё прибежище и крепость моя, Бог мой, на Которого уповаю».

3 Он избавит тебя от сети ловца и от гибельной язвы.

4 Он укроет тебя Своими перьями, и под Его крыльями ты будешь в безопасности; Его истина будет тебе щитом и бронёй.

5 Не убоишься ни ужасов в ночи, ни стрелы, летящей днём,

6 ни язвы, ходящей во мраке, ни заразы, опустошающей в полдень.

7 Тысяча падёт около тебя, и десять тысяч справа от тебя, но к тебе не приблизится.

8 Ты сам на это посмотришь и увидишь возмездие нечестивым.

9 Потому что ты избрал Вечного своим прибежищем, Высочайшего – своей обителью,

10 не пристанет к тебе зло, и язва не приблизится к твоему жилищу.

11 Ведь Он Своим ангелам повелит о тебе – охранять тебя на всех путях твоих.

12 Они понесут тебя на руках, чтобы ноги твои не ударились о камень.

13 На льва и на змею наступишь, растопчешь молодого льва и дракона.

14 Вечный говорит:«Сохраню его, потому что он искренно любит Меня; защищу его, потому что он знает имя Моё.

15 Когда воззовёт ко Мне, Я отвечу: в беде буду с ним, избавлю его и прославлю.

16 Насыщу его долголетием и дам ему Моё спасение».

3 Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.	3 Он избавит тебя от сети ловца и от гибельной язвы.
4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.	4 Он укроет тебя Своими перьями, и под Его крыльями ты будешь в безопасности; Его истина будет тебе щитом и бронёй.

10 The years of our lives are threescore and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet most of them are labor and sorrow; for life is soon cut off and we fly away.	10 не пристанет к тебе зло, и язва не приблизится к твоему жилищу.
11 Who knows the power of thine anger and the fear of thy wrath?	11 Ведь Он Своим ангелам повелит о тебе – охранять тебя на всех путях твоих.
12 So teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.	12 Они понесут тебя на руках, чтобы ноги твои не ударились о камень.
