Chapter 5

1 AND you, Son of man, take a sharp sword, like a barber's razor, and cause it to pass upon your head and upon your beard; then take scales to weigh it, and divide the hair into three parts.

2 A third part you shall burn with fire in the midst of the city, when the days of your siege are fulfilled; and you shall take a third part, and cut it with the sword, going round about the city; and a third part you shall scatter to the wind; and I will draw out a sword, after Israel.

3 And you shall take from thence a few of the hairs and bind them in the skirt of your cloak.

4 Then take some of them again and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire; for from them shall come forth a fire into all the house of Israel.

5 Thus says the LORD God: This is Jerusalem; I have set her in the midst of the nations, with all the cities round about her.

6 For she has exchanged my judgments for wickedness from the Gentiles, and my commandments for statutes from the cities that are round about her; for they have rejected my statutes and they have not walked in my commandments.

7 Therefore thus says the LORD God: Because you have regarded the statutes which you took from nations round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, but you have done according to the judgments of the nations that are round about you;

8 Therefore thus says the LORD God: Behold I, even I, am against you, and will execute judgments in your midst in the sight of the nations.

9 And I will do in you that which I have never done before, and the like of which I will never do again, because of all your abominations.

10 Therefore the parents shall eat their children in the midst of you, and the children shall eat their parents; and I will execute judgments in you, and the whole remnant of you I will scatter to all the winds.

11 Therefore, as I live, says the LORD God, Because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable things and with all your abominations, therefore I will scatter you; neither shall my eye spare, neither will I have any pity.

12 A third part of you shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of you; and a third part shall fall by the sword round about you; and a third part I will scatter to all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.

13 Thus shall my anger be poured out, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted; and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it in my zeal, when I have poured out my anger upon them.

14 Moreover I will make you waste, and a reproach among the nations that are round about you, in the sight of all that pass by.

15 So you shall be a reproach and a taunt, an example of punishment and a horror to the nations that are round about you, when I have executed judgments in you in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it.

16 When I shall send upon you my grievous arrows of famine, which shall be for your destruction and which I will send to destroy you: I will increase the famine upon you, and will break the staff of your grain.

17 And I will send upon you famine and fierce beasts, and they shall devour you; and pestilence and blood shall pass through you; and I will bring the sword upon you. I the LORD have spoken it.

1 «Сын человеческий, после осады города ты должен взять острый нож и, пользуясь им как бритвой парикмахера, сбрей себе волосы и бороду. Положи их на весы и, взвесив, раздели на три равных части. Одну треть твоих волос положи на кирпич с изображением города и сожги на нём. Затем мечом иссеки на мелкие части вторую треть волос и положи вокруг города. Затем развей на ветру третью часть твоих волос, и пусть ветер их унесёт далеко. Это будет знамением того, что Я выну Свой меч и буду преследовать их.

3 Но после этого пойди и найди несколько волос, принеси их и сохрани их в своей одежде.

4 Затем возьми несколько волос из тех, которые сохранились в твоей одежде, и брось их в огонь в знак того, что огонь сожжёт и разрушит весь дом Израиля».

5 Затем Господь сказал: «Этот кирпич олицетворяет город Иерусалим, который Я построил среди других стран и народов.

6 Израильтяне восстали против Моих повелений и были хуже других народов. Они нарушали Мои законы больше, чем любые другие люди, жившие в окружающих их странах. Они отказались слушать Мои повеления и не подчинялись Моим законам».

7 Так говорит Господь, мой Бог: «Вы вели себя хуже, чем народы, жившие вокруг вас. Вы не подчинялись Моим законам и не следовали Моим повелениям. Вместо этого вы следовали обычаям народов вокруг вас».

8 Поэтому Господь Всемогущий говорит: «И теперь даже Я против вас; Я прилюдно накажу вас.

9 Я сделаю с вами то, чего ни с кем никогда не делал и никогда больше не сделаю, потому что вы сотворили много мерзостных поступков.

10 Люди Иерусалима будут столь голодны, что родители будут есть плоть своих же детей, а дети будут есть плоть своих родителей. Я накажу вас различными карами, а кто останется в живых, тех разбросаю по ветру».

11 Господь Всемогущий говорит: «Иерусалим, Я клянусь своей жизнью, что накажу тебя за все те мерзости, которые ты сотворил с Моим святилищем. Ты осквернил его, и Я накажу тебя за это, не проявив никакого милосердия. Я сожалеть о тебе не буду.

12 Треть твоих людей умрёт от болезней и голода внутри тебя (в городе). Вторая треть будет убита врагами вокруг тебя (вокруг города), а третью часть населения Иерусалима Я мечом прогоню в далёкие страны.

13 Только тогда Я утолю Мой гнев к твоему народу и буду знать, что он понёс наказание за всё то гадкое, что причинил Мне. После этого люди удостоверятся, что Я — Господь и что именно Я говорил с ними, руководствуясь Своей сильной любовью к ним».

14 Господь сказал: «Иерусалим, Я разрушу тебя, ты будешь ничем иным, как грудой камней, и все будут над тобой смеяться. Каждый человек, проходящий мимо, над тобой посмеётся.

15 Народы вокруг тебя будут над тобой смеяться, но ты будешь уроком для них, и они поймут, что Я был разгневан и наказал тебя, заранее предупредив. Я, Господь, сказал тебе, что сделаю это.

16 Я тебя предупредил, что принесу тебе голод, который уничтожит тебя. Я тебе сказал, что нашлю на тебя голод снова и снова.

17 Я пошлю голод и диких зверей, и они убьют твоих детей. В городе будут болезнь и смерть, и Я приведу врагов против тебя. Я, Господь, предупредил, что всё это непременно произойдёт».

3 Но после этого пойди и найди несколько волос, принеси их и сохрани их в своей одежде.

4 Then take some of them again and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire; for from them shall come forth a fire into all the house of Israel.

4 Затем возьми несколько волос из тех, которые сохранились в твоей одежде, и брось их в огонь в знак того, что огонь сожжёт и разрушит весь дом Израиля».

5 Thus says the LORD God: This is Jerusalem; I have set her in the midst of the nations, with all the cities round about her.

5 Затем Господь сказал: «Этот кирпич олицетворяет город Иерусалим, который Я построил среди других стран и народов.

7 Так говорит Господь, мой Бог: «Вы вели себя хуже, чем народы, жившие вокруг вас. Вы не подчинялись Моим законам и не следовали Моим повелениям. Вместо этого вы следовали обычаям народов вокруг вас».

8 Therefore thus says the LORD God: Behold I, even I, am against you, and will execute judgments in your midst in the sight of the nations.

8 Поэтому Господь Всемогущий говорит: «И теперь даже Я против вас; Я прилюдно накажу вас.

9 Я сделаю с вами то, чего ни с кем никогда не делал и никогда больше не сделаю, потому что вы сотворили много мерзостных поступков.

10 Люди Иерусалима будут столь голодны, что родители будут есть плоть своих же детей, а дети будут есть плоть своих родителей. Я накажу вас различными карами, а кто останется в живых, тех разбросаю по ветру».

11 Господь Всемогущий говорит: «Иерусалим, Я клянусь своей жизнью, что накажу тебя за все те мерзости, которые ты сотворил с Моим святилищем. Ты осквернил его, и Я накажу тебя за это, не проявив никакого милосердия. Я сожалеть о тебе не буду.

12 A third part of you shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of you; and a third part shall fall by the sword round about you; and a third part I will scatter to all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.

12 Треть твоих людей умрёт от болезней и голода внутри тебя (в городе). Вторая треть будет убита врагами вокруг тебя (вокруг города), а третью часть населения Иерусалима Я мечом прогоню в далёкие страны.

13 Thus shall my anger be poured out, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted; and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it in my zeal, when I have poured out my anger upon them.

13 Только тогда Я утолю Мой гнев к твоему народу и буду знать, что он понёс наказание за всё то гадкое, что причинил Мне. После этого люди удостоверятся, что Я — Господь и что именно Я говорил с ними, руководствуясь Своей сильной любовью к ним».

14 Moreover I will make you waste, and a reproach among the nations that are round about you, in the sight of all that pass by.

14 Господь сказал: «Иерусалим, Я разрушу тебя, ты будешь ничем иным, как грудой камней, и все будут над тобой смеяться. Каждый человек, проходящий мимо, над тобой посмеётся.

15 Народы вокруг тебя будут над тобой смеяться, но ты будешь уроком для них, и они поймут, что Я был разгневан и наказал тебя, заранее предупредив. Я, Господь, сказал тебе, что сделаю это.

16 Я тебя предупредил, что принесу тебе голод, который уничтожит тебя. Я тебе сказал, что нашлю на тебя голод снова и снова.
