Chapter 20

1 IN the year that Tartan came to Ashdod (when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him) and fought against Ashdod and took it,

2 At that time the LORD spoke by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off your loins and put off your shoes from your feet. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.

3 And the Lord said, As my servant Isaiah has walked naked and barefoot, so shall there be signs and wonders for three years upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia;

4 So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.

5 And they shall be defeated and ashamed of Ethiopia their trust, and of Egypt their glory.

6 And the inhabitants of this isle shall say on that day, Behold, here is our trust, to whom we fled for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria; and how shall we escape?

3 И сказал559 Господь:3068 как раб5650 Мой Исаия3470 ходил1980 нагой6174 и босой3182 три7969 года,8141 в указание226 и предзнаменование4159 о Египте4714 и Ефиопии,3568

4 так поведет5090 царь4428 Ассирийский804 пленников7628 из Египта4714 и переселенцев1546 из Ефиопии,3568 молодых5288 и старых,2205 нагими6174 и босыми3182 и с обнаженными2834 чреслами,8357 в посрамление6172 Египту.4714

5 Тогда ужаснутся2865 и устыдятся954 из-за Ефиопии,3568 надежды4007 своей, и из-за Египта,4714 которым хвалились.8597

6 И скажут559 в тот день3117 жители3427 этой страны:339 вот каковы те, на которых мы надеялись4007 и к которым прибегали5127 за помощью,5833 чтобы спастись5337 от царя4428 Ассирийского!804 и как спаслись4422 бы мы?
