Chapter 23

1 WOE to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! says the LORD.

2 Therefore thus speaks the LORD God of Israel against the shepherds who feed my people: You have scattered my flock, and have caused them to go astray, and have not visited them; behold, I will punish you according to your evil doings, says the LORD.

3 And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and I will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

4 And I will set shepherds over them who shall feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be scattered nor shall they go astray, says the LORD.

5 Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will raise up for David a righteous Heir, and he shall reign over the kingdom with understanding, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

6 In his days Judah shall be saved and Israel shall dwell securely; and this is the name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

7 Therefore, the days are coming, says the LORD, when it shall never be said again, The LORD lives, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

8 But, The LORD lives, who brought up and led the house of Israel out of the north country and from all the countries where they had been scattered; and they shall dwell in their own land.

9 My heart is broken within me because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man and like a man who is overcome by wine, because of the presence of the LORD and because of the words of his holiness.

10 For the land is full of adulterers and robbers; because of these men the land mourns and the pastures of the shepherds in the wilderness are dried up, and their yield has been poor, and they did not flourish.

11 For both prophets and priests have become pagans; yea, even in my house have I found their wickedness, says the LORD.

12 Therefore their ways shall be to them as slippery ways in the darkness; they shall be driven on, and fall in them; for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their punishment, says the LORD.

13 And I have seen falsehood in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied by Baal and caused my people Israel to err.

14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem folly; they commit adultery and walk in lies; they strengthen also the hands of their friends, so that no one turns from his evil way; they are all of them to me like Sodom, and its inhabitants like Gomorrah.

15 Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets: Behold. I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink bitter water; for from the prophets of Jerusalem paganism has gone forth throughout all the land.

16 Thus says the LORD of hosts: Do not hearken to the words of the false prophets who prophesy to you and mislead you; they tell a vision of the imagination of their own hearts, and not from the mouth of the LORD.

17 They say still to those who provoke me, The LORD has said, You shall have peace; and they say to every one who walks after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

18 For who has stood in the counsel of the LORD and has seen him and heard his word? or who has given ear to his word and heard him?

19 Behold, the punishment of the LORD is gone forth in fury, and the punishment will kindle; it shall fall upon the head of the wicked.

20 The wrathful indignation of the LORD shall not turn back until he has executed his devices, and till he has performed the thoughts of his mind; in the latter days you shall discern it perfectly.

21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they have gone forth; I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.

22 But if they had stood in my counsel and had caused my people to hear my words, then they would have turned them from their evil ways and from the evil of their doings.

23 I am the God who is near, says the LORD God, and not a God afar off.

24 If any man should hide himself in secret places, I will see him, says the LORD; behold, heaven and earth are filled with me, says the LORD of hosts.

25 I have heard what the prophets have said, who prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed a dream.

26 How long shall there be in the mouth of the false prophets, prophecies of lies? prophecies of the deceit of their own heart?

27 Who think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbor, as their fathers forgot my name and served Baal.

28 The prophet who sees a dream, let him tell a dream; but he who has my words, let him speak my words faithfully. Why do you mix chaff with the wheat? says the LORD.

29 Behold, my words issue like a fire, says the LORD, and like a hammer which breaks the rock in pieces.

30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, says the LORD, who steal my words, every one from his neighbor.

31 Behold, I am against the prophets, says the LORD, who pervert their tongues, and say, Thus says the LORD.

32 Behold, I am against the prophets who see false dreams, says the LORD, and tell them, and lead my people astray by their lies and their wantonness; yet I did not command them nor send them; so they do not profit this people at all.

33 land when this people, or a prophet or a priest, shall ask you, and say to you, What is the word of the LORD? you shall say to them, This is the word of the LORD: I will utterly uproot you, says the LORD.

34 And as for the prophet or the priest or the people who shall speak the word of the LORD, I will punish that man and his house.

35 Thus shall you say every one to his neighbor, and every one to his brother: What has the LORD answered? and, What has the LORD spoken?

36 And the words of the LORD you shall mention no more; for every man's word shall be to him his prophecy, for you pervert the words of the living God, the LORD of hosts, our God.

37 Thus shall you say to that person: What has the LORD answered you? and, What has the LORD spoken?

38 But if you speak the word of the LORD, therefore, thus says the LORD: Because you have said this word, The words of the LORD, and I have sent you, saying, You shall not say, The words of the LORD;

39 Therefore, behold, I will surely remove you, and I will cast you away, both you and the city that I gave to you and your fathers;

40 And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame which shall not be forgotten.

6 Во дни3117 Его Иуда3063 спасется3467 и Израиль3478 будет7931 жить7931 безопасно;983 и вот имя8034 Его, которым будут7121 называть7121 Его: «Господь3072 оправдание3072 наше!3072»

10 потому что земля776 наполнена4390 прелюбодеями,5003 потому что плачет56 земля776 от проклятия;423 засохли3001 пастбища4999 пустыни,4057 и стремление4794 их — зло,7451 и сила1369 их — неправда,

11 ибо и пророк5030 и священник3548 — лицемеры;2610 даже в доме1004 Моем Я нашел4672 нечестие7451 их, говорит5002 Господь.3068

13 И в пророках5030 Самарии8111 Я видел7200 безумие;8604 они пророчествовали5012 именем Ваала,1168 и ввели8582 в заблуждение8582 народ5971 Мой, Израиля.3478

14 Но в пророках5030 Иерусалима3389 вижу7200 ужасное:8186 они прелюбодействуют5003 и ходят1980 во лжи,8267 поддерживают2388 руки3027 злодеев,7489 чтобы никто376 не обращался7725 от своего нечестия;7451 все они предо Мною — как Содом,5467 и жители3427 его — как Гоморра.6017

15 Посему так говорит559 Господь3068 Саваоф6635 о пророках:5030 вот, Я накормлю398 их полынью3939 и напою8248 их водою4325 с желчью,7219 ибо от пророков5030 Иерусалимских3389 нечестие2613 распространилось3318 на всю землю.776

16 Так говорит559 Господь3068 Саваоф:6635 не слушайте8085 слов1697 пророков,5030 пророчествующих5012 вам: они обманывают1891 вас, рассказывают1696 мечты2377 сердца3820 своего, а не от уст6310 Господних.3068

17 Они постоянно559 говорят559 пренебрегающим5006 Меня: «Господь3068 сказал:1696 мир7965 будет у вас». И всякому, поступающему1980 по упорству8307 своего сердца,3820 говорят:559 «не придет935 на вас беда».7451

18 Ибо кто стоял5975 в совете5475 Господа3068 и видел7200 и слышал8085 слово1697 Его? Кто внимал7181 слову1697 Его и услышал?8085

19 Вот, идет3318 буря5591 Господня3068 с яростью,2534 буря5591 грозная,2342 и падет2342 на главу7218 нечестивых.7563

20 Гнев639 Господа3068 не отвратится,7725 доколе Он не совершит6213 и доколе не выполнит6965 намерений4209 сердца3820 Своего; в последующие319 дни3117 вы ясно998 уразумеете995 это.

21 Я не посылал7971 пророков5030 сих, а они сами побежали;7323 Я не говорил1696 им, а они пророчествовали.5012

22 Если бы они стояли5975 в Моем совете,5475 то объявили8085 бы народу5971 Моему слова1697 Мои и отводили7725 бы их от злого7451 пути1870 их и от злых7455 дел4611 их.

23 Разве Я — Бог430 только вблизи,7138 говорит5002 Господь,3068 а не Бог430 и вдали?7350

29 Слово1697 Мое не подобно3541 ли огню,784 говорит5002 Господь,3068 и не подобно ли молоту,6360 разбивающему6327 скалу?5553

30 Посему, вот Я — на пророков,5030 говорит5002 Господь,3068 которые крадут1589 слова1697 Мои друг376 у друга.7453

31 Вот, Я — на пророков,5030 говорит5002 Господь,3068 которые действуют3947 своим языком,3956 а говорят:5001 «Он сказал».5002

32 Вот, Я — на пророков5012 ложных8267 снов,2472 говорит5002 Господь,3068 которые рассказывают5608 их и вводят8582 народ5971 Мой в заблуждение8582 своими обманами8267 и обольщением,6350 тогда как Я не посылал7971 их и не повелевал6680 им, и они никакой пользы3276 не приносят3276 народу5971 сему, говорит5002 Господь.3068

33 Если спросит7592 у тебя народ5971 сей, или пророк,5030 или священник:3548 «какое бремя4853 от Господа?»,3068 то скажи559 им: «какое бремя?4853 Я покину5203 вас, говорит5002 Господь».3068

34 Если пророк,5030 или священник,3548 или народ5971 скажет:559 «бремя4853 от Господа»,3068 Я накажу6485 того человека376 и дом1004 его.

35 Так говорите559 друг376 другу7453 и брат376 брату:251 «что ответил6030 Господь?3068» или: «что сказал1696 Господь?3068»

36 А этого слова: «бремя4853 от Господа»,3068 впредь не употребляйте:2142 ибо бременем4853 будет такому человеку376 слово1697 его, потому что вы извращаете2015 слова1697 живого2416 Бога,430 Господа3068 Саваофа6635 Бога430 нашего.

37 Так говори559 пророку:5030 «что ответил6030 тебе Господь?3068» или: «что сказал1696 Господь?3068»

38 А518 если вы еще будете559 говорить:559 «бремя4853 от Господа»,3068 то так говорит559 Господь:3068 за то, что вы говорите559 слово1697 сие: «бремя4853 от Господа»,3068 тогда как Я послал7971 сказать559 вам: «не говорите:559 бремя4853 от Господа»,3068 —

39 за то, вот, Я забуду5382 вас вовсе5377 и оставлю5203 вас, и город5892 сей, который Я дал5414 вам и отцам1 вашим, отвергну от лица6440 Моего

40 и положу5414 на вас поношение2781 вечное5769 и бесславие3640 вечное,5769 которое не забудется.7911

9 My heart is broken within me because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man and like a man who is overcome by wine, because of the presence of the LORD and because of the words of his holiness.

29 Behold, my words issue like a fire, says the LORD, and like a hammer which breaks the rock in pieces.

30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, says the LORD, who steal my words, every one from his neighbor.

31 Behold, I am against the prophets, says the LORD, who pervert their tongues, and say, Thus says the LORD.

32 Behold, I am against the prophets who see false dreams, says the LORD, and tell them, and lead my people astray by their lies and their wantonness; yet I did not command them nor send them; so they do not profit this people at all.

33 land when this people, or a prophet or a priest, shall ask you, and say to you, What is the word of the LORD? you shall say to them, This is the word of the LORD: I will utterly uproot you, says the LORD.

33 Если спросит7592 у тебя народ5971 сей, или пророк,5030 или священник:3548 «какое бремя4853 от Господа?»,3068 то скажи559 им: «какое бремя?4853 Я покину5203 вас, говорит5002 Господь».3068

34 And as for the prophet or the priest or the people who shall speak the word of the LORD, I will punish that man and his house.

34 Если пророк,5030 или священник,3548 или народ5971 скажет:559 «бремя4853 от Господа»,3068 Я накажу6485 того человека376 и дом1004 его.

35 Thus shall you say every one to his neighbor, and every one to his brother: What has the LORD answered? and, What has the LORD spoken?

35 Так говорите559 друг376 другу7453 и брат376 брату:251 «что ответил6030 Господь?3068» или: «что сказал1696 Господь?3068»

36 And the words of the LORD you shall mention no more; for every man's word shall be to him his prophecy, for you pervert the words of the living God, the LORD of hosts, our God.

36 А этого слова: «бремя4853 от Господа»,3068 впредь не употребляйте:2142 ибо бременем4853 будет такому человеку376 слово1697 его, потому что вы извращаете2015 слова1697 живого2416 Бога,430 Господа3068 Саваофа6635 Бога430 нашего.

37 Thus shall you say to that person: What has the LORD answered you? and, What has the LORD spoken?

37 Так говори559 пророку:5030 «что ответил6030 тебе Господь?3068» или: «что сказал1696 Господь?3068»

38 But if you speak the word of the LORD, therefore, thus says the LORD: Because you have said this word, The words of the LORD, and I have sent you, saying, You shall not say, The words of the LORD;

38 А518 если вы еще будете559 говорить:559 «бремя4853 от Господа»,3068 то так говорит559 Господь:3068 за то, что вы говорите559 слово1697 сие: «бремя4853 от Господа»,3068 тогда как Я послал7971 сказать559 вам: «не говорите:559 бремя4853 от Господа»,3068 —

39 Therefore, behold, I will surely remove you, and I will cast you away, both you and the city that I gave to you and your fathers;

40 And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame which shall not be forgotten.
