Chapter 22

1 MOREOVER the word of the LORD came to me, saying.

2 Now, Son of man, judge the bloody city and declare to her all her abominations;

3 Then say, Thus says the LORD God: The city where blood is shed in the midst, her time has come. and the city that makes idols in the midst of her has defiled herself.

4 You have become guilty in the blood which you have shed, and have defiled yourself by the idols which you have made; now your days have drawn near, and the time of your years has come; therefore I have made you a reproach to the Gentiles and a derision to all cities.

5 Those that are near and those that are far from you shall mock you and shall say, O you filthy one, infamous and full of iniquity.

6 Behold, the princes of Israel, every one according to his own tribe, were in you to shed blood.

7 In you have they cursed father and mother; in the midst of you have they oppressed the proselytes; in you have they wronged the fatherless and the widows.

8 You have despised my holy things and have profaned my sabbaths.

9 In you were merchants to shed blood, and in you have they eaten sacrifices upon the mountains; in the midst of you they committed lewdness.

10 In you have they uncovered the nakedness of their fathers' concubines; in you have they lain with menstruous women.

11 And one has committed abomination with his neighbor's wife; and another has lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law in committing adultery with her; and another in you has defiled his sister, his father's daughter.

12 In you have they taken bribes to shed blood; in you have they taken usury and exorbitant gains, and they have deceived their friends by extortion; and you have forgotten me, says the LORD God.

13 Behold, therefore I will strike my hands together with anger because of the iniquity which you have done and because of the blood which has been shed in the midst of you.

14 Can your heart endure, or can your hands be strong, in the days that I deal with you? I the LORD have spoken it and will do it.

15 And I will scatter you among the Gentiles and disperse you in the countries.

16 And I will chastise you in the sight of the Gentiles, and you shall know that I am the LORD.

17 And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

18 Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross; all they are like brass and like tin, and like iron and lead in the midst of the furnace when they are mixed with silver.

19 Therefore thus says the LORD God: Because you have all become mixed together, behold, therefore I will gather you in the midst of Jerusalem.

20 As they gather silver and brass and iron and tin and lead into the midst of the furnace, and blow the fire upon it to melt it; so will I gather you in my anger, and in my fury will I melt you.

21 Yea, I will blow upon you the fire of my anger, and I will cause you to melt in the midst of it.

22 As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall you be melted in the midst of it; and you shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.

23 And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

24 Son of man, say to her, You are the land that is not cleansed, and have refused to receive moisture, nor has rain come down upon you.

25 Her prophets in the midst of her have conspired; they are like a lion that roars and tears the prey; they have devoured lives with their might; they have taken the precious things of their palaces.

26 Her priests have violated my law and have profaned my holy things; they have put no difference between the holy and the profane, neither have they distinguished between the unclean and the clean, and have refused to keep my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

27 Her princes in the midst of her are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood and to destroy lives, to get dishonest gain.

28 And her prophets have daubed her walls with untempered mortar which will fall off, seeing for them visions of falsehood, and divining lies to them, saying, Thus says the LORD, when the LORD has not spoken.

29 They have oppressed the people of the land and humiliated them; and have extorted from the poor and needy; yea, they have oppressed wrongfully the proselyte.

30 And I sought for a man among them who would build up the fence and stand in the gap before me for the sake of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found none.

31 Therefore have I poured out my indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath; their own ways have I recompensed upon their heads, says the LORD God.

1 Было ко мне слово Вечного:

2 – Смертный, будешь ли судить его? Будешь ли судить этот кровавый город? Тогда укажи ему на все его омерзительные обычаи

3 и скажи: Так говорит Владыка Вечный: «О город, который, навлекая кару, проливает посреди себя кровь и оскверняется, делая идолов,

4 ты стал виновен из-за крови, которую пролил, и осквернился идолами, которых сделал; ты приблизил свой день, и предел твоих лет настал. За это Я сделаю тебя поруганием для народов и посмешищем для всех стран.

5 Те, кто далеко, и те, кто близко, будут глумиться над тобой, о бесславный город, объятый смутой.

6 Вожди Исраила, что у тебя, – каждый по мере своих сил – проливали чужую кровь.

7 У тебя они с презрением обходились с отцами и матерями, у тебя притесняли чужеземцев, у тебя творили зло сиротам и вдовам.

8 Ты пренебрегал Моими святынями и осквернял Мои субботы.

9 У тебя клеветники проливали чужую кровь; у тебя находились те, кто ел в горных капищах, и посреди тебя совершали непристойности.

10 У тебя находились те, кто осквернял отцовское ложе; у тебя – те, кто насиловал женщину во время месячных, когда она ритуально нечиста.

11 У тебя один совершал гнусное, спал с женой другого, второй бесстыдно осквернял сноху, а третий насиловал свою сестру по отцу.

12 У тебя брали взятки, чтобы лить чужую кровь; ты занимался ростовщичеством, брал проценты и вымогательством наживался на ближнем. Ты оставил Меня, – возвещает Владыка Вечный.

13 Гляди, Я всплесну руками о твоей неправедной наживе, которую ты приобрёл, и о крови, которую ты пролил посреди себя.

14 Останешься ли ты храбрым и останутся ли сильными твои руки в те дни, когда Я буду наказывать тебя? Я, Вечный, сказал это и сделаю.

15 Я рассею тебя между народами и раскидаю по странам; Я искореню в тебе твою нечистоту.

16 Ты будешь осквернён в глазах других народов. Тогда ты узнаешь, что Я – Вечный».

17 И было ко мне слово Вечного:

18 – Смертный, исраильтяне стали у Меня бесполезной окалиной; все они – как медь, олово, железо и свинец, которые остаются в плавильном горне, как изгарь серебра.

19 Поэтому так говорит Владыка Вечный: – Так как вы стали окалиной, Я соберу вас в Иерусалиме.

20 Как собирают в плавильный горн серебро, медь, железо, свинец и олово, чтобы, раздув огонь, расплавить их, так и Я соберу вас в гневе и ярости, оставлю в городе и расплавлю.

21 Я соберу вас, дохну на вас Моим огненным гневом, и вы расплавитесь в нём.

22 Как серебро расплавляется в плавильном горне, так и вы расплавитесь в нём. Тогда вы узнаете, что Я, Вечный, излил на вас Свою ярость.

23 Вновь было ко мне слово Вечного:

24 – Смертный, скажи земле: «Ты – земля, неочищенная и неорошённая в день гнева».

25 Её вожди подобны ревущему льву, что терзает добычу; они пожирают людей, отнимают сокровища и драгоценности и многих на ней делают вдовами.

26 Её священнослужители преступают Мой Закон и оскверняют Мои святыни; они не делают различия между священным и несвященным; они учат, что нет разницы между нечистым и чистым; они закрывают глаза на соблюдение Моих суббот, так что Я оскверняюсь среди них.

27 Её вельможи подобны волкам, терзающим добычу; они проливают кровь и убивают людей, чтобы приобрести неправедную поживу.

28 Её пророки закрашивают для них такие дела белилами пустых видений и лживых прорицаний. Они говорят: «Так говорит Владыка Вечный», когда Вечный не говорил.

29 Народ страны предан вымогательству и грабежу; они притесняют бедняков и нищих и угнетают чужеземцев, отказывая им в правосудии.

30 Я искал среди них человека, который починил бы стену и встал бы предо Мною в бреши заступиться за страну, чтобы Мне её не погубить, но не нашёл.

31 И вот, Я изолью на них Мою ярость и истреблю их пламенем Моего негодования, обрушив им на головы то, что они натворили, – возвещает Владыка Вечный.

1 MOREOVER the word of the LORD came to me, saying.

1 Было ко мне слово Вечного:

2 Now, Son of man, judge the bloody city and declare to her all her abominations;

2 – Смертный, будешь ли судить его? Будешь ли судить этот кровавый город? Тогда укажи ему на все его омерзительные обычаи

3 Then say, Thus says the LORD God: The city where blood is shed in the midst, her time has come. and the city that makes idols in the midst of her has defiled herself.

3 и скажи: Так говорит Владыка Вечный: «О город, который, навлекая кару, проливает посреди себя кровь и оскверняется, делая идолов,

4 You have become guilty in the blood which you have shed, and have defiled yourself by the idols which you have made; now your days have drawn near, and the time of your years has come; therefore I have made you a reproach to the Gentiles and a derision to all cities.

4 ты стал виновен из-за крови, которую пролил, и осквернился идолами, которых сделал; ты приблизил свой день, и предел твоих лет настал. За это Я сделаю тебя поруганием для народов и посмешищем для всех стран.

5 Those that are near and those that are far from you shall mock you and shall say, O you filthy one, infamous and full of iniquity.

5 Те, кто далеко, и те, кто близко, будут глумиться над тобой, о бесславный город, объятый смутой.

6 Behold, the princes of Israel, every one according to his own tribe, were in you to shed blood.

6 Вожди Исраила, что у тебя, – каждый по мере своих сил – проливали чужую кровь.

7 In you have they cursed father and mother; in the midst of you have they oppressed the proselytes; in you have they wronged the fatherless and the widows.

7 У тебя они с презрением обходились с отцами и матерями, у тебя притесняли чужеземцев, у тебя творили зло сиротам и вдовам.

8 You have despised my holy things and have profaned my sabbaths.

8 Ты пренебрегал Моими святынями и осквернял Мои субботы.

9 In you were merchants to shed blood, and in you have they eaten sacrifices upon the mountains; in the midst of you they committed lewdness.

9 У тебя клеветники проливали чужую кровь; у тебя находились те, кто ел в горных капищах, и посреди тебя совершали непристойности.

10 У тебя находились те, кто осквернял отцовское ложе; у тебя – те, кто насиловал женщину во время месячных, когда она ритуально нечиста.

11 У тебя один совершал гнусное, спал с женой другого, второй бесстыдно осквернял сноху, а третий насиловал свою сестру по отцу.

12 In you have they taken bribes to shed blood; in you have they taken usury and exorbitant gains, and they have deceived their friends by extortion; and you have forgotten me, says the LORD God.

12 У тебя брали взятки, чтобы лить чужую кровь; ты занимался ростовщичеством, брал проценты и вымогательством наживался на ближнем. Ты оставил Меня, – возвещает Владыка Вечный.

13 Behold, therefore I will strike my hands together with anger because of the iniquity which you have done and because of the blood which has been shed in the midst of you.

13 Гляди, Я всплесну руками о твоей неправедной наживе, которую ты приобрёл, и о крови, которую ты пролил посреди себя.

14 Can your heart endure, or can your hands be strong, in the days that I deal with you? I the LORD have spoken it and will do it.

14 Останешься ли ты храбрым и останутся ли сильными твои руки в те дни, когда Я буду наказывать тебя? Я, Вечный, сказал это и сделаю.

15 And I will scatter you among the Gentiles and disperse you in the countries.

15 Я рассею тебя между народами и раскидаю по странам; Я искореню в тебе твою нечистоту.

16 And I will chastise you in the sight of the Gentiles, and you shall know that I am the LORD.

16 Ты будешь осквернён в глазах других народов. Тогда ты узнаешь, что Я – Вечный».

17 And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

17 И было ко мне слово Вечного:

18 Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross; all they are like brass and like tin, and like iron and lead in the midst of the furnace when they are mixed with silver.

18 – Смертный, исраильтяне стали у Меня бесполезной окалиной; все они – как медь, олово, железо и свинец, которые остаются в плавильном горне, как изгарь серебра.

19 Therefore thus says the LORD God: Because you have all become mixed together, behold, therefore I will gather you in the midst of Jerusalem.

19 Поэтому так говорит Владыка Вечный: – Так как вы стали окалиной, Я соберу вас в Иерусалиме.

20 As they gather silver and brass and iron and tin and lead into the midst of the furnace, and blow the fire upon it to melt it; so will I gather you in my anger, and in my fury will I melt you.

20 Как собирают в плавильный горн серебро, медь, железо, свинец и олово, чтобы, раздув огонь, расплавить их, так и Я соберу вас в гневе и ярости, оставлю в городе и расплавлю.

21 Yea, I will blow upon you the fire of my anger, and I will cause you to melt in the midst of it.

21 Я соберу вас, дохну на вас Моим огненным гневом, и вы расплавитесь в нём.

22 As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall you be melted in the midst of it; and you shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.

22 Как серебро расплавляется в плавильном горне, так и вы расплавитесь в нём. Тогда вы узнаете, что Я, Вечный, излил на вас Свою ярость.

23 And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

23 Вновь было ко мне слово Вечного:

24 – Смертный, скажи земле: «Ты – земля, неочищенная и неорошённая в день гнева».

30 Я искал среди них человека, который починил бы стену и встал бы предо Мною в бреши заступиться за страну, чтобы Мне её не погубить, но не нашёл.
