Chapter 22

1 MOREOVER the word of the LORD came to me, saying.

2 Now, Son of man, judge the bloody city and declare to her all her abominations;

3 Then say, Thus says the LORD God: The city where blood is shed in the midst, her time has come. and the city that makes idols in the midst of her has defiled herself.

4 You have become guilty in the blood which you have shed, and have defiled yourself by the idols which you have made; now your days have drawn near, and the time of your years has come; therefore I have made you a reproach to the Gentiles and a derision to all cities.

5 Those that are near and those that are far from you shall mock you and shall say, O you filthy one, infamous and full of iniquity.

6 Behold, the princes of Israel, every one according to his own tribe, were in you to shed blood.

7 In you have they cursed father and mother; in the midst of you have they oppressed the proselytes; in you have they wronged the fatherless and the widows.

8 You have despised my holy things and have profaned my sabbaths.

9 In you were merchants to shed blood, and in you have they eaten sacrifices upon the mountains; in the midst of you they committed lewdness.

10 In you have they uncovered the nakedness of their fathers' concubines; in you have they lain with menstruous women.

11 And one has committed abomination with his neighbor's wife; and another has lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law in committing adultery with her; and another in you has defiled his sister, his father's daughter.

12 In you have they taken bribes to shed blood; in you have they taken usury and exorbitant gains, and they have deceived their friends by extortion; and you have forgotten me, says the LORD God.

13 Behold, therefore I will strike my hands together with anger because of the iniquity which you have done and because of the blood which has been shed in the midst of you.

14 Can your heart endure, or can your hands be strong, in the days that I deal with you? I the LORD have spoken it and will do it.

15 And I will scatter you among the Gentiles and disperse you in the countries.

16 And I will chastise you in the sight of the Gentiles, and you shall know that I am the LORD.

17 And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

18 Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross; all they are like brass and like tin, and like iron and lead in the midst of the furnace when they are mixed with silver.

19 Therefore thus says the LORD God: Because you have all become mixed together, behold, therefore I will gather you in the midst of Jerusalem.

20 As they gather silver and brass and iron and tin and lead into the midst of the furnace, and blow the fire upon it to melt it; so will I gather you in my anger, and in my fury will I melt you.

21 Yea, I will blow upon you the fire of my anger, and I will cause you to melt in the midst of it.

22 As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall you be melted in the midst of it; and you shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.

23 And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

24 Son of man, say to her, You are the land that is not cleansed, and have refused to receive moisture, nor has rain come down upon you.

25 Her prophets in the midst of her have conspired; they are like a lion that roars and tears the prey; they have devoured lives with their might; they have taken the precious things of their palaces.

26 Her priests have violated my law and have profaned my holy things; they have put no difference between the holy and the profane, neither have they distinguished between the unclean and the clean, and have refused to keep my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

27 Her princes in the midst of her are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood and to destroy lives, to get dishonest gain.

28 And her prophets have daubed her walls with untempered mortar which will fall off, seeing for them visions of falsehood, and divining lies to them, saying, Thus says the LORD, when the LORD has not spoken.

29 They have oppressed the people of the land and humiliated them; and have extorted from the poor and needy; yea, they have oppressed wrongfully the proselyte.

30 And I sought for a man among them who would build up the fence and stand in the gap before me for the sake of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found none.

31 Therefore have I poured out my indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath; their own ways have I recompensed upon their heads, says the LORD God.

Глава 22

1 И было ко мне слово Иеговы и сказано:

2 И ты, сын человеческий, суди, суди город кровей, и выкажи ему все мерзости его.

3 И скажи: так говорит Господь Иегова: о город, проливающий кровь среди себя, чтоб наступило время его, и делающий у себя идолов, чтоб сквернить себя!

4 Кровью, которую ты пролил, ты сделал себя виновным, и идолами, каких ты наделал, ты осквернил себя, и приблизил дни свои, и достиг лет своих. Итак отдам тебя на посмеяние народам, на поругание всем землям.

5 Близкие и далекие от тебя будут ругаться над тобою, осквернившим имя свое, много буйствовавшим.

6 Вот начальствующие у Израиля, всяк по мере мышцы своей, стремится у тебя проливать кровь.

7 Отца и матерь злословят у тебя, пришельцу делают обиду среди тебя, сироту и вдову притесняют в тебе.

8 Святынь Моих не уважаешь, и субботы Мои нарушаешь.

9 Ябедники находятся в тебе, чтоб проливать кровь, и на горах едят у тебя, беззаконие делают среди тебя.

10 Наготу отца открывают у тебя, с женою нечистою, во время очищения, сходятся у тебя.

11 Иной с женою ближнего своего делает мерзость, иной сноху свою беззаконием оскверняет, иной с сестрою своею, с дочерью отца своего сходится у тебя.

12 Взятки берут у тебя, чтобы проливать кровь; берешь рост и надбавку, и с обидою получаешь корысть от ближнего своего, а Меня забыл, говорит Господь Иегова.

13 И вот Я всплеснул руками Своими, смотря на корыстолюбие твое, какое у тебя производится, и на крови твои, которые среди тебя находятся.

14 Устоит ли сердце твое, будут ли тверды руки твои в те дни, в которые буду действовать против тебя? Я, Иегова, Я сказал и сделал.

15 И развею тебя по народам, и рассею тебя по землям, и положу конец мерзостям твоим среди тебя.

16 И сделаешься сам по себе презренным пред глазами народов, и узнаешь, что Я Иегова.

17 И было ко мне слово Иеговы, и сказано:

18 Сын человеческий! дом Израилев сделался у Меня окалиною; все они в горниле медь и свинец, и железо и олово, одни окалины от сребра.

19 Посему так говорит Господь Иегова: поелику все вы сделались окалинами, за то вот Я соберу вас в Иерусалим.

20 Как в горнило кладут вместе серебро, и медь, и железо, и олово, и свинец, чтобы раздуть на все это огонь, дабы расплавить; так Я во гневе Моем и в ярости Моей соберу, и положу, и расплавлю вас.

21 Соберу вас, и дохну на вас огнем негодования Моего, и расплавитесь среди его.

22 Как серебро расплавляется в горниле, так расплавитесь и вы среди его, и узнаете, что Я, Иегова, Я излил ярость Мою на вас.

23 И было ко мне слово Иеговы, и сказано:

24 Сын человеческий! скажи ей: ты земля, неочищенная земля; не посещаемая дождем в день гнева!

25 Скопище пророков ее среди ее, как лев рыкающий, похищающий добычу; съедают души, обирают имущество и драгоценности, и умножают на ней число вдов ее.

26 Священники ее нарушают закон Мой, и сквернят святыни Мои, не отделяют святого от несвятого, и не указывают различия между чистым и нечистым, и от суббот Моих они отвратили глаза свои, и Я унижен у них.

27 Князья ее на ней как волки, похищающие добычу; проливают кровь, губят души, чтоб приобрести корысть.

28 А пророки ее все им замазывают грязью, представляют пустые видения, и гадают им ложное, говоря: `так говорит Господь Иегова`, тогда как не говорит Иегова.

29 А простой народ земли! там угнетают друг друга, грабят один другого, и притесняют бедного и нищего, и пришельца угнетают без всякого права.

30 И искал Я у них человека, который бы в преграду поставил стену, и стал бы предо Мною в проломе за сию землю, чтобы Я не погубил ее, но не нашел.

31 Итак изливаю на них негодование Мое; огнем ярости Моей истреблю их; поведение их слагаю им на голову, говорит Господь Иегова.

1 MOREOVER the word of the LORD came to me, saying.

1 И было ко мне слово Иеговы и сказано:

2 Now, Son of man, judge the bloody city and declare to her all her abominations;

2 И ты, сын человеческий, суди, суди город кровей, и выкажи ему все мерзости его.

3 Then say, Thus says the LORD God: The city where blood is shed in the midst, her time has come. and the city that makes idols in the midst of her has defiled herself.

3 И скажи: так говорит Господь Иегова: о город, проливающий кровь среди себя, чтоб наступило время его, и делающий у себя идолов, чтоб сквернить себя!

4 You have become guilty in the blood which you have shed, and have defiled yourself by the idols which you have made; now your days have drawn near, and the time of your years has come; therefore I have made you a reproach to the Gentiles and a derision to all cities.

4 Кровью, которую ты пролил, ты сделал себя виновным, и идолами, каких ты наделал, ты осквернил себя, и приблизил дни свои, и достиг лет своих. Итак отдам тебя на посмеяние народам, на поругание всем землям.

5 Those that are near and those that are far from you shall mock you and shall say, O you filthy one, infamous and full of iniquity.

5 Близкие и далекие от тебя будут ругаться над тобою, осквернившим имя свое, много буйствовавшим.

6 Behold, the princes of Israel, every one according to his own tribe, were in you to shed blood.

6 Вот начальствующие у Израиля, всяк по мере мышцы своей, стремится у тебя проливать кровь.

7 Отца и матерь злословят у тебя, пришельцу делают обиду среди тебя, сироту и вдову притесняют в тебе.

8 You have despised my holy things and have profaned my sabbaths.

8 Святынь Моих не уважаешь, и субботы Мои нарушаешь.

9 In you were merchants to shed blood, and in you have they eaten sacrifices upon the mountains; in the midst of you they committed lewdness.

9 Ябедники находятся в тебе, чтоб проливать кровь, и на горах едят у тебя, беззаконие делают среди тебя.

10 Наготу отца открывают у тебя, с женою нечистою, во время очищения, сходятся у тебя.

11 Иной с женою ближнего своего делает мерзость, иной сноху свою беззаконием оскверняет, иной с сестрою своею, с дочерью отца своего сходится у тебя.

12 In you have they taken bribes to shed blood; in you have they taken usury and exorbitant gains, and they have deceived their friends by extortion; and you have forgotten me, says the LORD God.

12 Взятки берут у тебя, чтобы проливать кровь; берешь рост и надбавку, и с обидою получаешь корысть от ближнего своего, а Меня забыл, говорит Господь Иегова.

13 Behold, therefore I will strike my hands together with anger because of the iniquity which you have done and because of the blood which has been shed in the midst of you.

13 И вот Я всплеснул руками Своими, смотря на корыстолюбие твое, какое у тебя производится, и на крови твои, которые среди тебя находятся.

14 Can your heart endure, or can your hands be strong, in the days that I deal with you? I the LORD have spoken it and will do it.

14 Устоит ли сердце твое, будут ли тверды руки твои в те дни, в которые буду действовать против тебя? Я, Иегова, Я сказал и сделал.

15 And I will scatter you among the Gentiles and disperse you in the countries.

15 И развею тебя по народам, и рассею тебя по землям, и положу конец мерзостям твоим среди тебя.

16 And I will chastise you in the sight of the Gentiles, and you shall know that I am the LORD.

16 И сделаешься сам по себе презренным пред глазами народов, и узнаешь, что Я Иегова.

17 And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

17 И было ко мне слово Иеговы, и сказано:

18 Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross; all they are like brass and like tin, and like iron and lead in the midst of the furnace when they are mixed with silver.

18 Сын человеческий! дом Израилев сделался у Меня окалиною; все они в горниле медь и свинец, и железо и олово, одни окалины от сребра.

19 Therefore thus says the LORD God: Because you have all become mixed together, behold, therefore I will gather you in the midst of Jerusalem.

19 Посему так говорит Господь Иегова: поелику все вы сделались окалинами, за то вот Я соберу вас в Иерусалим.

20 As they gather silver and brass and iron and tin and lead into the midst of the furnace, and blow the fire upon it to melt it; so will I gather you in my anger, and in my fury will I melt you.

20 Как в горнило кладут вместе серебро, и медь, и железо, и олово, и свинец, чтобы раздуть на все это огонь, дабы расплавить; так Я во гневе Моем и в ярости Моей соберу, и положу, и расплавлю вас.

21 Yea, I will blow upon you the fire of my anger, and I will cause you to melt in the midst of it.

21 Соберу вас, и дохну на вас огнем негодования Моего, и расплавитесь среди его.

22 As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall you be melted in the midst of it; and you shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.

22 Как серебро расплавляется в горниле, так расплавитесь и вы среди его, и узнаете, что Я, Иегова, Я излил ярость Мою на вас.

23 And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

23 И было ко мне слово Иеговы, и сказано:

24 Сын человеческий! скажи ей: ты земля, неочищенная земля; не посещаемая дождем в день гнева!
