Psalm 104

1 BLESS the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great: thou art clothed with honour and majesty.

2 Thou coverest thyself with light as with a garment; who stretcheth out the heavens like a curtain,

3 Who layest the beams of his chambers in the waters, who makest the clouds his chariot, who walkest upon the wings of the wind,

4 Who makest his angels spirits, his ministers a flaming fire,

5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

6 Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.

7 At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hastened away.

8 The mountains ascend, the valleys descend to the place which thou hast founded for them.

9 Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over, to cover the earth.

10 Thou hast sent the springs to the valleys, which run among the hills.

11 They give drink to every beast of the field; the wild asses quench their thirst.

12 By them the fowls of the heaven have their habitation; from among the hills they sing.

13 He waters the hills from his chambers; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

14 He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and herbs for the service of man, that he may bring forth food out of the earth,

15 And wine that makes glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengthens man's heart.

16 The trees of the LORD are full of sap, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted;

17 There the birds make their nests; as for the stork, her house is in the cypress.

18 The high mountains are a refuge for the wild goats, and the rocks a refuge for the conies.

19 He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knows his going down.

20 He makes darkness and it is night, wherein all the beasts of the forest creep forth.

21 The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.

22 The sun rises; they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.

23 Man goes forth to his work and to his labour until the evening.

24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all; the earth is full of thy riches.

25 Behold this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, creatures both small and great.

26 On it sail the ships; there is that Leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.

27 These wait all upon thee, that thou mayest give them their food in due season.

28 With what thou givest them they are filled; thou openest thine hand, they are satisfied.

29 Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled; thou takest away their breath, they die and return to their dust.

30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created, and thou renewest the face of the earth.

31 The glory of the LORD endures for ever; the LORD shall rejoice in his works.

32 He looks on the earth, and it trembles; he rebukes the hills, and they smoke.

33 I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

34 Let my praise be acceptable to him; I will be glad in the LORD.

35 Let sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD, O my soul. Praise the LORD.

Псалом 104

1 Благодарите ГОСПОДА, призывайте имя Его! Возвещайте среди народов о делах Его!

2 Пойте Ему, прославляйте Его, говорите о всех чудесах Его!

3 Гордитесь святым именем Его! И пусть радуются сердца всех ищущих ГОСПОДА!

4 Ищите ГОСПОДА и силы Его, стремитесь быть в присутствии Его постоянно.

5 [5-6] Потомки слуги Его Авраама, избранника Его, Иакова сыны, помните о чудесах Его, которые Он сотворил, о знамениях, Им явленных, и о приговорах, которые уста Его изрекли!

7 Он — ГОСПОДЬ, Бог наш, повсюду на земле Он суд вершит.

8 Он вечно помнит Завет Свой — слова Свои, которые Он заповедал тысяче поколений,

9 Завет, которым соединил Себя с Авраамом, и клятву Свою, что дал Исааку.

10 И Он подтвердил его Иакову как закон, Израилю — как Завет вечный.

11 «Тебе дам землю ханаанскую в удел, — сказал Он, — ее в наследие отмерю тебе».

12 Тогда число сынов Израиля было очень малым, и людьми пришлыми были они на земле той,

13 переходили от народа к народу, от одного царства к другому.

14 Никому не позволял Он угнетать их и царям с угрозой говорил:

15 «Не касайтесь помазанников Моих и пророкам Моим не причиняйте зла».

16 До того как Он голод наслал на страну и лишил запасов пищи сынов Иакова,

17 одному из них определил Он идти впереди: Иосиф в рабство был продан.

18 Ноги его в кандалы закованы были и кольцо железное надето на шею его;

19 и, пока предсказанье его не исполнилось, слово, ГОСПОДОМ ему данное, испытывало верность его.

20 Снять оковы с него царь велел, освободил Иосифа правитель народов,

21 сделал его хозяином дома своего, управляющим во всех владениях своих,

22 чтобы по своему усмотрению наказывал тот вельмож царских и старейшин его учил мудрости.

23 Пришел тогда Израиль в Египет, Иаков пришлым стал в земле Хама.

24 И сделал Господь многочисленным народ Свой, так что силой своей превосходил тот врагов своих,

25 в сердцах которых Господь вызвал ненависть к народу Своему и замыслы недобрые против слуг Его.

26 Послал Он слугу Своего Моисея и Аарона, избранника Своего,

27 чтобы явили они там знамения Его и чудеса в земле Хама.

28 Послал Он тьму кромешную — и мрак воцарился. Разве египтяне не противились слову Его?

29 Он в кровь превратил воду их и рыбу их всю погубил.

30 Земля жабами воскишела до самых покоев царских.

31 Сказал Он — и тучи злых мух налетели, множество гнуса на всю их страну.

32 Вместо дождя послал Он им град, огонь пылающий — на их землю.

33 Виноградники и смоковницы их Он погубил, сокрушил деревья по всей их земле.

34 Он лишь слово сказал — пришла саранча, и гусеницы явились в великом множестве:

35 поели они все растения в стране, истребили все плоды на полях.

4 Who makest his angels spirits, his ministers a flaming fire,	4 Ищите ГОСПОДА и силы Его, стремитесь быть в присутствии Его постоянно.
5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.	5 [5-6] Потомки слуги Его Авраама, избранника Его, Иакова сыны, помните о чудесах Его, которые Он сотворил, о знамениях, Им явленных, и о приговорах, которые уста Его изрекли!

7 At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hastened away.	7 Он — ГОСПОДЬ, Бог наш, повсюду на земле Он суд вершит.
8 The mountains ascend, the valleys descend to the place which thou hast founded for them.	8 Он вечно помнит Завет Свой — слова Свои, которые Он заповедал тысяче поколений,
9 Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over, to cover the earth.	9 Завет, которым соединил Себя с Авраамом, и клятву Свою, что дал Исааку.
10 Thou hast sent the springs to the valleys, which run among the hills.	10 И Он подтвердил его Иакову как закон, Израилю — как Завет вечный.

12 By them the fowls of the heaven have their habitation; from among the hills they sing.	12 Тогда число сынов Израиля было очень малым, и людьми пришлыми были они на земле той,
13 He waters the hills from his chambers; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.	13 переходили от народа к народу, от одного царства к другому.

26 On it sail the ships; there is that Leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.	26 Послал Он слугу Своего Моисея и Аарона, избранника Своего,
27 These wait all upon thee, that thou mayest give them their food in due season.	27 чтобы явили они там знамения Его и чудеса в земле Хама.
28 With what thou givest them they are filled; thou openest thine hand, they are satisfied.	28 Послал Он тьму кромешную — и мрак воцарился. Разве египтяне не противились слову Его?
29 Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled; thou takest away their breath, they die and return to their dust.	29 Он в кровь превратил воду их и рыбу их всю погубил.

34 Let my praise be acceptable to him; I will be glad in the LORD.	34 Он лишь слово сказал — пришла саранча, и гусеницы явились в великом множестве:
35 Let sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD, O my soul. Praise the LORD.	35 поели они все растения в стране, истребили все плоды на полях.
