Psalm 104

1 BLESS the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great: thou art clothed with honour and majesty.

2 Thou coverest thyself with light as with a garment; who stretcheth out the heavens like a curtain,

3 Who layest the beams of his chambers in the waters, who makest the clouds his chariot, who walkest upon the wings of the wind,

4 Who makest his angels spirits, his ministers a flaming fire,

5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

6 Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.

7 At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hastened away.

8 The mountains ascend, the valleys descend to the place which thou hast founded for them.

9 Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over, to cover the earth.

10 Thou hast sent the springs to the valleys, which run among the hills.

11 They give drink to every beast of the field; the wild asses quench their thirst.

12 By them the fowls of the heaven have their habitation; from among the hills they sing.

13 He waters the hills from his chambers; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

14 He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and herbs for the service of man, that he may bring forth food out of the earth,

15 And wine that makes glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengthens man's heart.

16 The trees of the LORD are full of sap, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted;

17 There the birds make their nests; as for the stork, her house is in the cypress.

18 The high mountains are a refuge for the wild goats, and the rocks a refuge for the conies.

19 He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knows his going down.

20 He makes darkness and it is night, wherein all the beasts of the forest creep forth.

21 The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.

22 The sun rises; they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.

23 Man goes forth to his work and to his labour until the evening.

24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all; the earth is full of thy riches.

25 Behold this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, creatures both small and great.

26 On it sail the ships; there is that Leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.

27 These wait all upon thee, that thou mayest give them their food in due season.

28 With what thou givest them they are filled; thou openest thine hand, they are satisfied.

29 Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled; thou takest away their breath, they die and return to their dust.

30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created, and thou renewest the face of the earth.

31 The glory of the LORD endures for ever; the LORD shall rejoice in his works.

32 He looks on the earth, and it trembles; he rebukes the hills, and they smoke.

33 I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

34 Let my praise be acceptable to him; I will be glad in the LORD.

35 Let sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD, O my soul. Praise the LORD.

Песнь 104

1 Славьте Вечного, призывайте Его имя, возвещайте народам о Его делах.

2 Воспойте Ему, пойте Ему хвалу, рассказывайте о всех Его чудесах.

3 Хвалитесь Его святым именем; пусть веселятся сердца ищущих Вечного.

4 Ищите Вечного и силу Его, всегда ищите Его лица.

5 Помните чудеса, которые Он сотворил, знамения Его и суды, что Он произнёс,

6 о потомки Ибрахима, раба Его, о сыны Якуба, избранные Его!

7 Он – Вечный, наш Бог, суды Его по всей земле.

8 Он помнит вечно Своё соглашение – слово, данное Им для тысяч поколений, –

9 соглашение, заключённое с Ибрахимом, помнит клятву, данную Исхаку.

10 Он поставил его Якубу законом, Исраилу – вечным соглашением,

11 сказав: «Я отдам тебе ханаанскую землю в удел твоего наследия».

12 Когда они были малочисленны и незначительны, и были чужеземцами на этой земле,

13 то скитались от народа к народу и из царства в царство.

14 Он никому не давал их притеснять и укорял за них даже царей,

15 говоря: «Не трогайте помазанников Моих и пророкам Моим не делайте зла».

16 Он послал голод на землю, уничтожил все запасы пищи.

17 Он послал перед ними человека: в рабство был продан Юсуф.

18 Стеснили оковами его ноги, надели на шею железное ярмо,

19 пока не исполнилось его предсказание, пока слово Вечного не доказало его правоту.

20 Царь приказал, и развязали его, владыка народов освободил его.

21 Он сделал его господином над своим домом и правителем над всем своим владением,

22 чтобы он наставлял его приближённых и старейшин его учил мудрости.

23 Тогда пришёл Исраил в Египет, и жил Якуб в земле Хама как чужеземец.

24 И умножил Всевышний Свой народ и сделал его сильнее его врагов.

25 Возбудил в сердцах их ненависть к Его народу и хитрость против Его рабов.

26 Он послал Мусу, Своего раба, и Харуна, которого избрал.

27 Они показали среди них Его чудеса и Его знамения – в земле Хама.

28 Он послал тьму, и стало темно, и не воспротивились Его слову.

29 Он обратил воды Египта в кровь и погубил в них рыбу.

30 Земля их закишела множеством жаб, которые вошли даже в покои царей.

31 Он произнёс слово, и налетели тучи мух, и комары заполонили все их земли.

32 Он послал на них град вместо дождя и пылающий огонь – на их землю.

33 Побил их виноград и инжир, поломал деревья в их земле.

34 Сказал, и пришла саранча, целые тучи без числа,

35 и съели всю траву в их земле и плоды на их полях.

16 The trees of the LORD are full of sap, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted;	16 Он послал голод на землю, уничтожил все запасы пищи.
17 There the birds make their nests; as for the stork, her house is in the cypress.	17 Он послал перед ними человека: в рабство был продан Юсуф.

22 The sun rises; they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.	22 чтобы он наставлял его приближённых и старейшин его учил мудрости.
23 Man goes forth to his work and to his labour until the evening.	23 Тогда пришёл Исраил в Египет, и жил Якуб в земле Хама как чужеземец.
24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all; the earth is full of thy riches.	24 И умножил Всевышний Свой народ и сделал его сильнее его врагов.
